....was buying a 3M eraser wheel. I de-badged and de-moulded my silver birch '07 Tahoe last night. Between my girlfriend's hairdryer and the 3M eraser wheel it was a friggin breeze. I can't imagine how long that would have taken just using Goo Gone or rubbing alcohol....

Camera phone pics not that great in the garage...but it was crappy outside and I was too lazy to go get my nice Canon...

It took me about 2 hrs total to clean it, de-badge/de-mould, clean again, and wax the newly exposed areas...

Looks sooooooo much sleeker....I love it!

CCM 2.5"/1" leveling kit going on tomorrow!!!

Are you getting new tires with the level kit? It looks like you have the Z71 rims on there.

I'm in a real predicament with tires/wheels....

The Z71 wheels were on it when I bought it with stock replacement Bridgestone Duelers 265/65R18.... I reallllllllly want to spend the cash and get some 17x8 ATX Mojaves with 285/70R17 GY Duratracs. I would then sell the Z71 stockers but in the end I'd still end up spending almost $1,200 or more...

Another option would be to buy some 295/65R18 GY Duratracs and PC my Z71 wheels black. But in the end that would cost me over $1,600...

A third option would be to buy the 295/65R18 Duratracs and just leave my wheels as they are.... That would still cost me $1,100-1,200....

I think I'd be happy with all three of those options....sadly, they probably won't happen any time soon.

My Duelers have over 30k miles on them but they look almost brand new. They've been awesome...even though I'm not particularly a big fan of them. The ol' lady wants to take a tropical vacation in March and I'm already on a fairly tight budget...so I'll probably just wait until these Duelers are fully worn and then I'll decide between the previous three options.

It's not optimal, obviously, but it should still look decent with the leveling kit even with the Duelers... If it looks ****** then I'll just go buy some less expensive ATs in a bigger size rather than the expensive Duratracs...

it wont look bad, i was in the same boat - trying to decide on tires, maybe new rims, and so forth. so i just left the original tires with the leveling and it wasnt too shabby. Here's a loop hole for you: when you level it, dont get an allignment, then your tires will wear funny thus giving you more reason to get new ones

Lucky, napa wanted $45 for an eraser wheel. Its just not worth it for a one time thing. Truck looks great though. Its nice to see another person going up

After using it, I would definitely be willing to spend $45 or more for the eraser wheel. It would have taken me many, many, many, many hours to get all the crap off there without it. My time is definitely worth a few extra bucks.
