Hello all,
New 2023 Tahoe SSV owner looking to add SiriusXM. I bought a kit but I have a question about the stock antenna. Is there any way to know if I can use the factory roof shark antenna with this kit? Has anyone installed a similar kit?

and it didn't come with instructions? (say's "kit"), typically any factory module being added needs to be vin learned.
on the 2015-2020's something like this would need a antenna splitter or separate antenna, not sure on the 2021+

Ok, thanks. Yeah mine is a fleet Tahoe so Sirius isn't included. I haven't received the kit yet so I don't have the instructions. Their site says that the factory antenna "might" be able to be used. I guess I'll find out later this week when I get it.

it probably depends on the factory option in the vehicle, you "might" be able to just plug it in and you also might need just a cable or you might need a splitter and cables.
I ran into sort of the same thing adding factory nav to my 18 (it only had onstar nav), except I could not find the correct splitter and cables that would fit mine and I ended up using a separate antenna instead. I did eventually find a new oem roof shark antenna brand new with dual outputs for super cheap but I haven't installed it, maybe someday it works now so no need to mess with it.
