These are the thread sizes and adapters to connect a tru-cool transmission cooler without have to cut or bend anything.
REQUIRES 2 OF (each) makes it easy plug-n-play and will never leak
prices may vary depending on where you shop

What cooler number do you recommend. Any install pics?
those adapters work with the tru-cool 40k, I moved mine twice since installing, now I have it under the front bumper with some makeshift brackets, no pics readily available.
I drive like a lunatic so I was having heating issue's with it in front of the radiator which is the easiest place to mount it, for most people it's probaly fine there

are these adapters for vehicles that have the factory auxiliary cooler and are going to replace it, or for vehicles w/o the aux cooler that are adding one?

WELL..... those adapters for adding a aftermarket auxiliary transmission cooler such as a tru-cool 40k
that way you do not have to cut anything, it makes it plug n play
the gm quick connect and the edelbrock are connected together, that adapts the factory quick connect line to 6an, the other 3/8's adapter adapts the tru-cool to 6an
then the lines just screw on.
that way it never leaks. those rubber hose and worm clamps provided with the tru-cool will eventually seep or leak badly
and to answer specifically your question, they can be used with or without a aux cooler, if you want to add one to a vehicle without a aux cooler you can buy
one of these and attach it to the factory radiator 5/8-18 male to 6an male to run it inline with the radiator

ok, so i will need all the original adapters you posted about PLUS the 5/8 -18 male to 6 an male adapter if i am reading this correctly. in your posting you stated that you need 2 of the 640610, 2 of the 19130039's , 2 6an male flare to 5/8-18 adapters, and 2 hoses, plus because i am ADDING an aux cooler, i will also need the 5/8-18 male to 6anmake adapter...

NO,if you are just adding a in-line aux cooler you just need 1 of the edlebrock, 1 of the gm quick connect female/to male
2 of the trp
one of the 5/8-18 male to 6an male
then 2 6an lines, I would say a 24" and at least a 36" i would go 4ft just for extra room those lines will not bend a sharp corner they have to have room to loop a little bit

note that those fittings are for gmt900, k2's are different and I "think" gmt800 might be different depends... i think they changed sizes mid production not 100% sure.
sometimes when I am out roaming the junkyard I see they have different sizes on the gmt800's maybe 5/8"s instead of 3/8's
