I have heard 18 million ways to do this via chats/forums - so I decided to dig out ye' ole manuals [OEM GM] for my 2005 GMC Yukon XL SLT 4wd VIN "Z".

I put together "Re-Calibrating Actuators" JPEG for users like me with HVAC Systems - AUTOMATIC CONTROLS and hope it helps others:
