99 yukon 5.7 vortec misfire HELP

have you inspected the dizzy cap for damage like flash-over and arcing?

and that is fully seated before tighten down the screws.

Yea I looked fine it didn't see any carbon tracing or anything I will take it off again this weekend and look at it again.

I work maintenance at a hyundai automotive supplier we have 200 or so robot...3 different brands at that...

Check the coil and it registered open...

I'm going to take the cap off later today when it cools down or in the morning...

what do you mean registered open?

I think army wanted me to check to see is the coil had a short in it when grounding the meter and touching the wire leaving the coil going to the dizzy the meter registered open no restiance what so ever.

Took the cap off and closely inspected it and the rotor I couldn't find and tracing or anything everything looked new...
