have you inspected the dizzy cap for damage like flash-over and arcing?

and that is fully seated before tighten down the screws.

Yea I looked fine it didn't see any carbon tracing or anything I will take it off again this weekend and look at it again.

I work maintenance at a hyundai automotive supplier we have 200 or so robot...3 different brands at that...

I think army wanted me to check to see is the coil had a short in it when grounding the meter and touching the wire leaving the coil going to the dizzy the meter registered open no restiance what so ever.
