I ran rc pro series for some years. I ran 1/8 scale buggy and truggy. A lot of fun but can be frustrating running pro and expert level. Great family environment. I may get back into it after being away for some years.

Still have this OS motor BNIB in my tool box..and both cars.

New toy. Redcat Terremoto 1/8. V1. Picked up for $50 on saturday. Guy took it running in on a trade, but he does Traxxas and Team Associated, not the Redcat stuff. This is a sub $400 truck new. Not much support. 45 mins later, i had it togehter for a shakedown run. 1 of the 2s batteries are bad, but imma try a new balance connector and see if it charges.

The T8's provided ESC caught the ghost and went up in smoke. So I replaced it with a ESC I had in my parts bin. It's made for a 1/5 scale on 6s, so it should handle this 1/8 scale on 4s no sweat. Now looking for a 4092 motor to replace the wimpy 36, and get some belted SRC's rims/tires. Also made a adapter from XT150 to the T style plug so I didnt have to cut either the ESC or the Y-Harness up.

Well, after much contemplation over 4 months and a crazy winter (I am a supervisor for a local road department that got hammered by 3 bad snow storms in the past two weeks) I decided to spoil myself and bought a TMaxx 3.3... I am definitely still a nitro guy. Growing up, I had both (this was before brushless motors were a popular thing) and I just always preferred the sound and smell of the nitro motors.

I almost bought a RedCat Earthquake but the lack of aftermarket parts turned me off. I am a bit extreme on things... It's only a matter of time before I try and jump over the house lol.


Now, if only I had friends to play with! I guess I'll have to wait a few years for my son to get older haha.
