Do these significantly improve the light output of the fog lights?

Yes. Like a **** ton. I've had CREE projector led fog and normal smd led fog and they both SUCK compared to these. These are the ones people are using as head light low beam replacement. Which I wouldn't recommend but that gives u an idea of the light output. Helps greatly even when I had my projectors.

Here is the stupid bright fog light recipe.

Buy these led in
9005 6 k
eBay item number

They are very very good quality with a all aluiminum housing. I have tried allot of led samples and these are by far the best and the only led my supplier will cary very soon.

When you get them take out your fogs. Snap off the tabs that the 5202 bulb sits in with a needle nose plier or any plier.

This will now leave a flat surface with two small groves. Insert 9005 bulb. You will notice it fits snug. Pull out a little and add epoxy and glue it in. Plastic weld epoxy works great.

Let dry Re install Mount small ballast and connect power.

You now have the brightest fog lights of any nnbs. These are brighter than hid and any led kit I guarantee.

Fogs only.

Fogs and led low beams.

Take note I am taking these pics through a tinted windshield and I am running tinted lenses.

It's very simple. Takes a hour tops. Good luck.

Here is how hid bulbs look mounted the same way with the tabs snapped off. These were the hids I was running before the led.

And no worries about melting at all.
