2DIN Stereos

Hey all. I have a 1997 Yukon SLE and I'm curious if there are 2 DIN stereos out there that will fit my dash.

No, you'd have to custom make a dash panel for it to fit

Dang. I figured. Panasonic is the one I have now that fits GMCs of that year. It takes up the whole opening, but it's a little smaller than a 2 DIN

The factory radio is 1.5 DIN.

Aftermarket 1.5 DIN stereos are long obsolete though.

You can buy a very expense retrofit kit. Some people make their own mod as well.

I put a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X797 and Kicker CS674 speakers in mine and love it. Great sound, not too complicated, very good bluetooth integration and a microphone.

I use a single din Kenwood Excelon dvd unit with a pop out touch screen and added the nav, Bluetooth and sat radio modules stored in a different place back in 2010. Your option are not entirely limited.

Had a couple different single din Kenwood units with BT that I picked up for around $150. Good little units.

Check out Crutchfield.com for a NEWPORT radio by RetroSound. It is a DIRECT fit for those 1.5 din Gm radios.
