Hi. Im new to this site and was wondering on if i can get some help on making this decision. I would like the factory 22's but a lot of my friends are pushing towards after market 24's... I just dont want a uncomfortable ride.

First off, Welcome! I've had both. With good (aka NOT CHEAP) tires and modifying your suspension, it IS possible to get a good ride... When I had my KMC Slide 24's on stock suspension (coming from factory 20's), I personally did not enjoy the ride. Within a few months I switched to factory 22's. Did you plan on modifying suspension? Is there a budget for this? Bc if not, you can definitely make it work. But if you are staying with stock suspension, I would definitely stick with the stock 22's. Remember since you have a Denali and have AutoRide, you will have to get auto-ride specific stuff to make sure the air compressor doesn't air you straight back up... that's if you decide to change your suspension.

well in that case Factory 22's is DEFINITELY your route to go. yea they are called GM CK375... google it. 4000 package from GM but you can get em from a guy on here for a little over half the price. They are sick and I plan on getting them for my Avalanche sooner or later. Message SuperChargedSS, he can give you a SICK deal on that whole package... factory rims/tires/lug nuts/center caps of your choice...

edit: if you are a supporting member (like 10 bucks) you get an even better deal ;)

Thanks a lot. Now youre opinion should i lower the truck a lil just to decrease the amount of space left between the bottom of the wheel panel and top of the tires?

Well the whole reason I haven't done that on -MY- vehicle is because I have AutoRide.. the guys without AutoRide tend to do it with a lot more ease then guys with AutoRide. The best option is doing a 2" rear drop.. the problem with this is that it won't sit completely level with your front end unless you do some modifications... I am still on the hunt for the perfect 2" rear drop so that my vehicle will just sit perfectly level... Another TYF member on here (KMeloney) knows all too well about leveling his vehicle. He also has autoride so is in the same boat as us.. wants it leveled to take out that nasty gap in the rear... so he did the 2" rear drop, couldn't get it perfectly level, and ended up getting the front end raised to level it.. he also has the CK375 rims so if you look at his truck you can get a good idea of what yours would look like if you ended up leveling the front end. I am still on the fence whether I want to raise the front or drop the rear...

Since you have a Denali, you probably have factory 20's. Going to factory 22's will not get in the way of the smooth "glass-like" ride that you currently have. If you get aftermarket 24's, you will definitely feel less stopping power, way more weight when turning the steering wheel, AND a worse ride. Granted all of those can be fixed (BBK, good tires, aftermarket suspension) but that cost $$$ :)

BTW this is all from personal experience plus what i've read on the threads... but the bottom line, it's still just my personal opinion. Yea I was happy I joined too.. a lot of information and very helpful people here.

Also check out CK916. I had those on my Tahoe and loved them..

22s will ride much better than 24s, but 20s ride better than 22s. 22s with a lip will look smaller than 22s with a flat or concave face and black wheels will look smaller than chrome or polished wheels. Ride quality will also depend greatly on the quality of the roads you drive.

I would go with 22s, you can also run a little larger than stock tire to get a little better ride.

That is just my opinion.

IMO, I disagree about the 20/22 ride difference. My 20's and 22's (both factory) ride VERY similar. I do agree about the lip thing though. Deep dish wheels will tend to look a lot smaller then wheels that are flush.
