Guys. . .

Can I use the weather tech ones on a Z71? It only shows the regular assist steps in the pic and doesn't ask if it is a Z71. I didn't know if the tubes get in the way. I don't have the truck yet so I don't know how far they extend.

I’m pretty sure that the WT flaps “for use with retractable steps” are the thinnest, least obtrusive. I believe that the retractable steps are the longest steps (vs the fixed steps and tube steps), and so I can’t imagine you’d have any problems with them with tube steps.

Love to hear how the Weathertech work out. The issue I have is with the factory add on's since the one listed in the GM parts book has the back side of the front flap is cut out to fit either the retractable or fixed but not the tube running board of the Z71. I have had 2 different sets installed at the dealer since I added them to my original order and each set they installed had the front flap cut out. They are going to try to order the ones I had on my 2022 AT4 Yukon XL this time. Those were not cut out and even though the GM catalog says they will not fit the dealer has offered to try before I get a refund and order Weathertech flaps.

I have the motorized steps, and I bought the 2024 version of the front motorized steps flaps along with the 2025 version of the rears. They worked perfectly. Not cheap but they are exactly what you need exactly where you need it. There really is no other choice for this vehicle.....

They will still rub on the front, in reverse on a hard turn…. even after trimming the wheel side, it’s something to do with the flex of the suspension… a small noise that eventually you ignore (or my hearing is worse) . Rears are fine

I think you have already. The WTs that are designed for use with the retractable steps should work with everything else, too. They are neither molded to integrate with any particular style of steps nor do they have a cut-out anywhere. They're thin and sit essentially on the inside of the wheel well.
