First Post as a new member here on this forum. A few weeks back I received my 23 rst Tahoe in dark ash I had been waiting patiently for. Of course, the highway tread Bridgestone tire just isn't going to cut it in our south ga red clay. I have read through some threads here about what tire sizes to run and what leveling kits but haven't found a good enough answer as to what I really want to run. The car is running the premium smooth ride (which I guess is the standard strut suspension) and is 4x4. Height of the suspension is perfect IMO so a leveling kit isn't really needed. With this car running 22" rims I am limited on tire sizes. Could I safely run a 285/55r22 or a 305/45/r22? or what would you guys suggest. with this being the wife's car and our main kid hauler, I don't want to have to trim much or any at all. Thanks for any input and hope to become an active member here.

305/40r22 or 285/50R22 are your best bets.

Toyo/Nitto are going to be options at this point for a more aggressive all terrain. The Bridgestone are bad. I run the stock size Michelin Defenders in summer. They are an awesome tire and far exceed the bridgestones, but if you are looking for mud traction there aren't to many options yet.

Toyo AT 3 is now available in the stock size also.

I stopped by my local tire guy today and we searched three warehouses and couldn’t find the stock size. Bummer. Always been a toyo m/t guy I might give the at3 a try

Thanks for the input. I believe that’s the route I’m going to try. I was quoted a set today for around 1700$

I went with the toyo at3. Has been a fantastic tire in the northern michigan winters.

305/45r22s fit well with no scrubbing! I think it turned out well. Was hoping for a more aggressive sidewall but I guess since it is the wife’s car and she’s happy that’s all that matters.

Looks great and a big upgrade vs the stock “no season” tires

I just got this for my wife last week. It’s a 23 duramax. We put toyo 33 12.50s on it. I’m kinda wishing I would have went larger. Planning to put a 2” level on it. If I don’t change my mind and order the 3-3.5” and 35s. Don’t really want to run any wheel spacers. Also going to install some amp steps soon.
