So I have 22z71 suburban with 59665 miles. Just under the warranty period. Noticed some noise and shutter between 2nd and 3rd gear. Dealership wants $700 for a tranny flush and TCM reprogram. IMO this should be covered by warranty? Thoughts.

I have a tuning chip to help with throttle response which effectively turns my beast into a 7800lb race car. And I love it.

It depends on how you ask. Don't tell them what to do, describe the issue and tell them you want it fixed!!! Then see where it goes from there. If you do not get satisfaction from one Dealer then try another. If you end up still wanting the flush then a good transmission shop will always be less expensive than the Dealer. However, paying the Dealer for the work does get it into your record in case something really does go south. There are some threads on this forum about known transmission issues.
