2018 Tahoe - Pillar trim is it fading or something behind it?

I recently noticed that on the passenger side pillar trim it looks like a piece of tape or something at the top but on the drivers side it is perfect? Is it fading/delaminating or is there some plastic protective that was never taken off when we bought it new... just noticed?

Looks like it is fading but hard to tell in direct sunlight. Maybe hit it with a little polish and see if it changes. Good luck.

I just noticed this on my 17 Tahoe too. It's only the passenger side. No idea what caused it.
