Was wondering if anyone has the book time for a passenger side head gasket on my Yukon L86. I’m in Toronto.
Was under my truck changing out TBV on my 8L90. Used a Transgo bypass kit.
Saw coolant drops on my transmission cooling lines over on the passenger side. I looked up and can see a drop of coolant on the corner of where the head meets the block. Not 100% sure if it’s the head gasket or if it’s running down from somewhere else. Looking at a worst case scenario, head gasket replacement, and wondering how much it’s going to cost me.

Check the heater core lines first. Head gasket issues are almost unheard of on these motors. IF, and take it with a grain of salt, the head gasket is seeping, I'd try something like KStop first. For $12 you might get another 100k out of it.

Fixed a leaking block heater on my CaseIH tractor with it as a last resort to not have to remove the fuel injection pump. 3 years later and it hasn't lost a drop. I'm ultimately not a bandaid guy, but there are times when a "Hail Mary" is worth a shot. FWIW

Thanks for the tip. Checked around the heater core hoses. Don’t see anything obvious. There is insulation on the fire wall could be leaking in behind.
Hoping to hold on to this truck a while longer. Only has 166K. No rust. Been running a range module from day 1.

Take a close look and feel of those Tees by the firewall that the heater hoses go through, from a cold start through the motor being fully up to temperature. They are a common failure point on these trucks, and they may only leak at certain temperatures of the coolant inside (before ultimately grenading).
