2001 Tahoe

I need help with my 2001 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L when I first start it up it runs great for 20 to 30 seconds then starts to idle rough, if I try to accelerate the check engine light starts to flash. I shut it off and hook up my code scanner " no codes" . I can restart it immediately and it does the same thing , idles great for 20 to 30 seconds. Every now and then it will run great for a long time until I shut it off, then it's back to the rough idle. Can anybody tell me what to do?
