A few changes, guy I was selling some subwoofers to hit a deer so I also sold him my grille and headlights cause it was quick and easy. My other 1500 grille is primer right now and I’m working on getting a couple quarts of my paint so I can do a bunch of painting once weather is better. Also gathering pieces to build some custom headlights at the same time.

This left me with the HD grille and stock headlights. So I threw them on the other day. Just need a bow tie, anyone got the right part number for it?

HD grille looks much beefer. That looks like an oem one to much better then the aftermarket one I have where the bowtie isn't set in like that. Sorry no part number I ran a billet one.

Thanks bud, I don’t think it’s OEM. Ordered it on amazon back in 2015. Here’s a link for anyone interested.

OE Replacement Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Grille Assembly (Partslink Number GM1200523) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004GDZF0M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_79HoCb3ZEC15S

thanks man

Ask @05Single about that bow tie.

@05Single would you by chance happen to have the correct part number for the 3500 grille bow tie?

Thar she blows!

Thank you big time for tagging him :elephant:

Came to save the day lol. But I'm not sure if its oem. I think it is tho. I have another somewhere but its buried

No need to dig bud, what you posted is perfect. And I’d lean towards it being oem, the part number system is a pretty close match to what’s on my 1500 oem bow tie and grille. Only difference is the mention of the GMT group number.

Got an alignment from a really legit shop, first people to actually get it aligned properly. Let’s see how long it holds hahaha

Bow tie came in the mail, it doesn’t fit down in the grille like I imagine it’s suppose to haha but oh well. I plan on ordering the authentic GM grille that comes with the badge and paint matching that one this was just a cheap amazon grille to see if it liked it.

Now time to drop those bumper mounts down or 1.5 bl for the hd bumper pad too. That's how I felt with my grille to though I said oh well and rocked on with the bowtie sticking out lol

You got any hood swap plans in the future?

HD Hoods in the garage waiting on paint...

Plan is to go with the 1.5bl. Once I have that I’ll get the authentic HD grille, HD bumper cap, and Z71 valance. Then put everything on and send it to the body shop to get a full repaint/paint match/fitment. I want the whole truck repainted the factory color and all the panel gaps reworked to match. I’m going to wait until I have all the pieces the way I want and then get it done right, also I’ll need a daily driver to make that work. Soooo when you see the daily show up you’ll know what’s coming next.

Not suburban related but some people might want to see it cause it has das turbo!

My wife’s new to her 2008 Wolfsburg Jetta 2.0 FSI Turbo. Have plans for 1”-2” drop, 19” wheels, and performance stuff. Started the week we got it by replacing the mirror switch which was broken, new bulbs for all the running lights, oil change, and all new filters. Went today and had them put new tires on cause the ones on it were cupped badly, got it aligned, and got it tinted while it was in the shop. Looks good for now and it is really fun to drive. Got the tune software yesterday so I’ll be tuning it as soon as I have time, a little extra fuel and boost never hurt anyone haha.

As far as styling goes I’ve seen a few body kits I like but all we have planned right now is to black of the front, get the black stock HID headlights, black side markers, and cherry smoke the taillights.

Solutions not problems.

More low, more high and/or combination of the two. Solved. :)

Goals, one must have! :893karatesmiley-thu

Keeps it fun, interesting and on this forum.

Geez trying to get my friend to do his bow ties and he wants to plan maybe 22 days out.

I’m like give them to me now. I’ll have them done ASAP!

But you’re right... goals! Lol
