If you put your foot into the 5.3L it has more then enough pickup, many have sold or traded from 6.2 to a 5.3 because of the fuel cost. there’s always a time and aplace where even a 6.2L is not enough power
The future of the global climate will be decided in Asia and Latin America, by poor people who couldn’t give a-s-s about saving the planet. Good speech about it, bang on.

I see the carplay removal as a plus myself.
Initially when apple carplay was announced I was hoping to overlay just about every app. not so. it’s pretty useless and has been exactly as it was released in 2014. sorry, but I find it a dog.
Biggest ugly issue I see here is the towing situation in Yellowstone that along with no cell service to call.
Looks like GM support network came through as good as possible though.
I Doubt if Toyota or any other manufacturer would have faired better in helping you out.
Have a few more trips with the trailer now. The (higher) LifePO4 battery voltage seems to cause the issue. with the TRL Battery fuse pulled the issue is resolved it seems. I added the lifepo4 battery to the trailer when I got the new Yukon Duramax, hence I did not see that issue with the 5.3L.
Must have more than 6 months in service or have more than 8500 miles. otherwise no.
Double check with a dealer but as far as I know GMC will transfer warranty.
If GM for a minute thought they could do without that airbag, it be gone. cost save.
But, If someone other than yourself was hurt I’m sure there’s a Crown Prosecutor somewhere with a lot of time on their hands wanting to know why you’d drive a car that would not pass a safety inspection and in...
Ok- think I may have found the cause
I removed the TRL Battery fuse, solving the issue 100% on trip home
My guess the factory brake controller does not like LifePO4 trailer battery voltage or something else about Lithium.
Trailer battery is charged by Solar on the road so don’t care about...
Thanks for reply- First thing I checked was trailer grounding. all lights work normally and checked with multimeter between car/trailer ground, did not see any issue, connection was 0 Ohms.
Not sure what triggers the message but only other thing I can think of is one or more of the brakes are...
Hi Question about a message on the new truck that keeps popping up after each stop with trailer attached, pull away “Trailer connect” comes back on and then disconnects again at lower speeds.
“Check trailer wiring” did not get it with my 2023 5.3L and same trailer so new Yukon Duramax is...
16000 Miles on the 5.3L flawless
100 miles on the Duramax today.
Drives great!
Had to bring $2K USD to trade.
As good as it gets I think.
Considering I added Luxury package, Duramax, sliding console and max tow
Produced May 02, Delivery May 27
Right on, those wheels will sell no problem. shipping a hassle IMHO
However. the ride is better on the 20”
A positive to me.
I see 22’s listed for sale every so now and then. no issue if you really want them. also the 22” the 1500 Sierra’s ect have will fit. more choice
Hey Guys, question about MSRP ect
Dealer ordered my truck (in CDN$) when price was $91K MSRP, order was accepted at that price.
Truck arrived on lot this morning.. now claims MSRP is $93.5K and need to pay up the $2.5K
That a normal practice?
Picked up the new Winnebago today!
Haven’t received the Anderson WDH yet but looks like i’ll need it.
In this pic about 440lbs on the tail. 3800LBS trailer weight.
The towing performance I find underwelming on the 5.3L
it’s probably programming related but is sits in 7 or 8th gear / 2500 RPM a...
