I have a 2011 GMC Yukon Denali that I believe is having a ground issue. Passenger side headlight works fine. Driver side was not working properly so I replaced bulbs, fuses, and relay. The headlight is still very dim on lowbeam and there is no high beam when I put on the brights...
Well, made it there and back! Thanks for everyone's advice and knowledge. My plan going forward is to replace the radiator (I'm sure it's original to the vehicle) with a bigger one if possible, and upgrade the transmission cooler.

Great to know about transmission temps and the trans oil being ok at high temps.
Did they ever publish any info about the engine temp going upwards of 230 while towing? Or dis they cover that by the statement they made in the user manual?

Thank you for your input Sir. Going up some hills today temp was 225 maybe up to 230. But went down when I leveled off. Trans temp looked like it did well, hitting 216-217 a couple times then going down.
One more comment. Just looked in the book. It said while towing loads or going uphill, common to see temp fluctuate and to even approach or hit 250. At 260 is when operating above max cooling capacity.
Do you guys concur with that?
And my Denali does not have the k5l heavy duty cooling code. Anything I can do anything on the road to make sure everything stays ok? Or while I'm here at a koa?
So made the first leg of the trip today. Towing up some hills at 55+60mph engine temp would hit 225-230. Something to be concerned about? Should I spray some water on the radiator to try and clean it some? Once I would get over the hill and level out or down hill the temp would come back...

Will do, towing in 5th. Glad to hear that the denali should have all the extra coolers. I wasn't sure since there was not a factory integrated trailer brake.
Also, have anti-sway bars on the weight distributing hitch.
Thanks for the information! I'll keep an eye on the rpms and see what mine does. Real newbie question, what would the factory external transmission cooler look like? Attached to the radiator? Or would that be an engine cooler? Thanks!
Sorry, one more question. Trans temp should be running at about +100 over ambient air temp? I've heard that, just want to make sure the same with these rigs. Do the Denali's come with a trans cooler as well? Ok, thanks again!
