    On my 99 I bought new controls for the dash. When we Changed it it ended up just being a bad connection from the Harness to the switch, check it out it worth it. We Clean the connections and put dielectric grease been working for years

    I didn't have any of those problems. My Tahoe would wander at highway speed. The sensor cured my problem.

    Changing Steering Speed Sensor

    RedCrush I'm almost 300 lb and I got to mine its tight but you can get it. The wires were real short which makes it tough but the foam wrapping was the worst part of it. Good luck.

    I checked the grounds the weren't bad but cleaned them anyway. I got it running with the battery charged and a jump. I took it to sears and had the battery tested they said its good. They also checked my alternator its putting out 13.6 volts. Now I'm going to concentrate on a new positive...

    Its 1-1/2 years old I know that means nothing but when I put the new battery in I watched and voltage was always good.

    I don't have a meter I recharged the battery and just put it in and still no power to anything. No small sparks when I reconnected the neg. cable. I just went out to the truck and noticed the pass side mirror cover is loose. I fixed it temporarily .

    Hi I have a 99 Tahoe with a 4L60 in it will a newer LS style trans fit in to replace the older version? Its a 4X4 with a 5.7 motor, and will it match to my transfer case or can I use both Trans and case from a newer 4X4 truck? Thanks Wayne

    Finally got my speed sensor in, it all went fine until I had to get my Xlrg hands in an xsml spot to unplug the sensor. Mine was covered with the foam too. The wires were barely long enough to reach but it went in and made all the difference. Thanks for all the info and help Wayne
