3.0 Duramax Camshaft Drive Sprocket Replacement
2021 Yukon 3.0 Duramax with 30K on it. Check engine light came on so I took it into the dealer to diagnose. Turned out to be the exhaust camshaft drive sprocket had failed. Anyone else had this problem? They fixed under warranty but I'm concerned about the cause and possible downstream issues...- GmcJing

Sorry to hear this. I have not had another issue on mine since the reprogramming at 11k and I'm at 19k now. I hope your dealer gets it fixed for you tomorrow.- GmcJing

Dealer was able to fix the issue with a "software update". They didnt get any more specific about it other than that but the tech seemed to have seen this issue before on low mile 3.0's. Another 2 hours down and nothing popped up, so I'm relieved we arent stuck waiting on a part or worse.- GmcJing

At the dealer now, the code came up as high voltage on the DEF tank temp sensor. The whole time we were driving, regen wasnt happening due to the code so they are attempting to bypass the code and allow it to regen again and see if that clears it up so we can finish our trip.- GmcJing

Service Emissions System warning came on this morning at the start of a long trip. Figured it was a regen thing as the car had been only grocery getting for a bit. However, 2+ hours of driving later and it's not going away. Limping it to a dealer in Dallas now at 65mph, (soon to be 55mph) hoping...- GmcJing

2021 Yukon XL 3.0 Fuel Fill Assembly
Wife filled up this morning and when she pulled the nozzle out the spring loaded fuel fill cap had come off and was sitting inside the fuel fill neck. It's impossible to pull it out through the filler neck. Contacted dealer, and the whole assembly needs to be replaced and the parts are a week...- GmcJing

Advice on 2021 Tahoe, 5.3 V8 vs. Duramax 3.0
3500 miles on my 3.0 diesel and it is everything I hoped it would be. 30 mpg on the interstate, 23-25 in the city. Diesel is the same price as gas where I live, the $1000 upgrade over 5.3 gas was worth every penny IMO.- GmcJing
