It can be done......a road trip experience

I heard Wo ody Guthrie singing while I was reading your experience: “There was a big, high wall there that tried to stop me A sign was painted said "Private Property" But on the backside, it didn't say nothing This land was made for you and me”

    OEM backup camera wiring

I installed the Jensen Car910w. Now I would install the new car1013w. It does sit close to the gear shift but that really isn’t a problem. People hate on Jensen but they have been more reliable (and a lot cheaper) than the pioneers I have installed previously.

    OEM backup camera wiring

I did just that in my 2011. I installed a bigger 9.1" head unit. The larger screen highlighted the poor resolution of the OEM camera, as well, the colors were off. I removed the OEM camera, cut off the plug and attached it to my new aftermarket camera. I believe I only used wires 1,2,4,5,6 from...

    Trailer break system warning

Just saying that on my 2011 I had that warning come on a few times last year so I found and cleaned the four? grounds underneath the truck on the frame. It was easy and cured the problem. Maybe the 2019 is similar.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

200 mile roadtrip today to checkout some Airguns in Mt Victory. Somebody said it before but these are the best cruising/roadtrip vehicles. Also notice this little town was so little my bumpers went edge to edge in the street parking spot.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Stuck the key in the ignition to roll down the windows to air out the Suburban. End of the day tried to roll up the windows and found out i left the key on and I ran the battery flat. Fortunately, I have the Hellroaring backup battery system (mostly for camping). Flipped the switch and started...

2011 5.3 engine noise, lend me your ears

Post the sound again with the serpentine belt off. There seems to be two things going on. One sounds like a bearing in the tensioner, idler, or alternator. The other sounds like a rattle.

    Suburbans gone wild.

I have the same rims. I don't think his rims were leaking as much air as mine though.

Will these hold air long term or get new wheels?

Hmmm. Mine are chrome and the dirt probably threw you off :emotions33: this part number traces to polished aluminum.

A new guy here from Italy!

We did make a two week visit years ago to relatives on her mother's side. That side of the family was still in touch. Sadly that generation has all passed on now.

Will these hold air long term or get new wheels?

Time for new tires (either Michelins or Continentals) and MAYBE new rims. Look at all the leaking on this current rim. All four have had this problem at one time or another and now one is leaking again. Can these really be cleaned up for the long haul? Or will this be a constant problem.? I like...

On my Suburban the DS spring is stronger than the PS spring to compensate. Sort of. If you don't have any friends who can ride on the PS side for you, you could install one of these on the DS.

    Rattle under dashboard!

Are you sure it’s IN the dash? I just fixed a rattle that sounded like the dash but it was the transmission dip stick tube rattling against a rear hvac tube. I wrapped a 1” wide piece of Velcro around it and it was fixed. See it stuck in between?

I finished replacing the four (correction)>> passenger side spark plugs. The @Rocket Man socket setup worked for #8. Took me 65 minutes and gave me a headache. And more appreciation for @OR VietVet who is older than me but still turns wrenches. ;)

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I changed the four driver side plugs at 50k miles. I recently changed plugs in my older daughters Escape and younger daughters Wrangler at 100k miles and they were severely worn, like no electrode remaining so I decided to start changing all plugs at 50k. I changed the driver side in nothing...

    fishing rod rack

Those Inno rod holders look good. Makes the one I made out of double sided velcro look janky. For 2011 Suburban I would possible have to mount the Inno to my headliner further back. I would want to access my poles from the rear. I only have two grab handles kind of far forward of the second row...
