Noticed that these tiny pieces are sticking out. They are really thin rubber seals maybe? Can't find them on GMParts.com
Tried to push them back in but wont stay.
Was thinking about glueing in place but....
Anybody got a recommendation?
ohhhhhh.....now that i think about it when i replaced it, i didnt disconnect it. However, after trying to figure out why it was doing what it did, i did disconnect for about 5 minutes....
So how do u "ungoof" them if thats the case?

Confused about what? I replaced thermostat cuz i temp gauge would drop to 0 and fans would come on. Replaced ECT and problem came back. Everyone said replace thermostat and that would fix it, so thats what i did.
Lookin at vacuum fill kit from Harbor Freight...
Took advice and did some "spirited" driving with left and right turns. Gauge still sits at 210....
I'm pretty sure its all related....i sometimes get no heat or too much heat.
I've had temp set at 78 and gotten no heat....last night i took it down to 68 and still was getting heat..
Wth...
Gauge would drop to zero and fans would run...replaced temp sensor, worked but problem came back. Everyone said replace thermostat and problem would stop.

Just replaced thermostat with GM part. No heat unless I turn temp to HI and gsige reads constant 210.
What did I do wrong?? Followed steps on YouTube vid...
When replacing the ECT or thermostat, and there is a loss of some coolant..is there a way to make sure there are no air pockets after everything is replaced?
