Been noticing the past month that the HVAC when first turned smells like mildew for the first 5 minutes. I live in a humid climate but have never experienced this especially after one year. Taking it in soon for other things and will have this addressed as well.
Update to this. It happens on random days usually first thing in the morning. Seems like the torque converter is a lot looser when it whines.. can hardly feel a shift and acceleration seems to suffer. I'll have the dealer look at it next time i take it in.
Recently started noticing the trans making a whine when cold at low speeds. Shifting to neutral while rolling stops it. Sounds exactly like a supercharger whine. Reason for concern or normal? I only noticed after rolling the windows down.
Nice work, but you could have fooled me that we have a sub in this truck given how poor the bass is. I figured the z71 didn't have one and the location where the amp is where the sub should have been.
Wont be home for a few days but when i looked under it the drip is coming off the aft part of the transmission directly onto the exhaust. I'm pretty sure it's not suppose to drip there and down the trans if it is indeed the ac drain line.
Got my Tahoe back from service thursday after interior warranty work and an oil change. Noticed today after a drive that what looks like my A/C drain dripping down the transmission onto to the exhaust cross pipe, causing a hissing sound from the boiling. Never noticed it before and was curious...
Beyond frustrated with my dealership continually screwing up this repair of the creaking headliner. Went in for the third time and i made clear to them i wanted all the clips replaced. First drive after and still noticed creaking... checked the paperwork and all they did was install 2 clips...
Does anyone know if there are the correct exhaust hangars on the vehicle for a quad exhaust on vehicle with a single exit exhaust? I looked under my z71 on the driver side rear and did not see where the exhaust would mount.
Done with my cargo mat. Returned for refund after several attempts to keep it attached. It's a $150 piece of garbage. Hope there will be better aftermarket solutions.
