    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

I am not sure yet. I would like to get another Yukon or Escalade but am a little apprehensive. I need to do some more research on these things before I make another purchase.

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

The last straw was when it left my wife and 3 year old daughter stranded in the 90 degree heat. I called the engine shop who told me they would reimburse me for the tow bill. After I tried to get the reimbursement, they declined to answer or return any of my calls. Real lowlifes. It makes it...

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

I thought I was an intelligent buyer that always tried to do research and due diligence before making decisions. In this case I made a bad decision, but I really did call ahead and talk to multiple people within the company. The claim that really got me was that “we’ve rebuilt over 70,000...

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

I ended up selling the Yukon. I lost about $6,000.00 when it was all said and done but have learned my lesson. Originally the engine shop said they would give me a full refund but then backtracked and said they wanted the good parts of the motor back. So in turn I would have to pay someone to...

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

They have had 47 complaints with the BBB & even had a news segment broadcast on the company due to all the complaints. Unfortunately they also provide engines for lots of other direct reman engine companies so their presence is vast and spreads far beyond the local market. I usually don’t like...

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

I am okay with turning wrenches and may end up going that route. I just have a hard time trusting anyone anymore, I really need a reputable company. I paid 4K for a rebuilt motor that can’t even make it over 500 miles before it starts knocking (3 times now) with scary low oil pressure each time...

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

Anyone have any recommendations on reputable machine shop or engine builders at reasonable prices? I really am trying to stay away from a 6k-8k engine cost, other than Jasper. Thanks

    Rebuilding the same block.

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

So the idiot engine shop out of western MI did not fix the problem. I still have low oil pressure (15-20 psi) hot idle, & 40 psi idle at 1,500 rpms. I will withhold their name until this situation is fixed and/or if I need to get legal representation. Their solution now is to change the block...

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

Just to update... Supposedly a cam bearing was installed incorrectly causing the low oil pressure issue. I will be picking the Yukon up tomorrow to find out for sure. The rebuild consisted of (actual ad below): Block is bored .20 over. New pistons, rings, cam, cam bearings, main bearings, rod...

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

Let me expand...the low oil pressure is typically at idle and low RPM situations. Typical driving conditions usual oil pressure stays between 30 & 40 PSI.

    New Engine...Low Oil Pressure

And the nightmare continues. After deciding to have the motor rebuilt in my 2007 Yukon Denali (6.2) I am dealing with an issue that has not been able to be solved so far. The shop I paid to remove and rebuild the motor has taken the motor out several times since the original rebuild. The...

What is the best way to do this?

    2007 Yukon Denali...no compression cyl #8

I’m learning more and more about these motors, so please excuse my ignorance. To my knowledge I don’t have AFM leading me to believe a failed lifter or valve is the culprit ( hoping no cylinder or piston damage). If that is the case should I rebuild both heads or only focus on the faulty head if...

    2007 Yukon Denali...no compression cyl #8

Thanks for all the input. The best I could find so far was a shop to put in a used motor for $3,800 installed. It does come with a 60 day warranty. These 6.2 motors are expensive (reman or used).

    6.2 Engine Compatibility

Thanks for all of the responses. The L94 motor is completely disassembled & pulled out of a 2012 Yukon Denali. I was hoping I could swap out the heads from the donor motor and use on my current L92 for the time being until I can rebuild a complete motor as funds allow. It sounds like it may be...

    2007 Yukon Denali...no compression cyl #8

I bought it from a private party. It was my fault for trusting the guy, he even said it was meticulously maintained using his special fully synthetic racing oil. I guess that should have been a red flag right there. I probably will try to keep it and figure something out with the motor. I’m...

    6.2 Engine Compatibility

I had a lifter failure in my 2007 6.2 and found a 2012 6.2 engine complete locally. What changes do I need to do to make it work in my 2007? Also, I would like to “bulletproof” this motor to try and eliminate any future failures or issues. I don’t need a lot of power or anything just want...

    2007 Yukon Denali...no compression cyl #8

Thanks. I thought it would be a good vehicle for my wife and daughter and unfortunately it hasn’t worked out that way. The dealership offered me $1,000 for it but I just can’t go that low. I’m still stuck on weather to try and sell or fix & keep.

    2007 Yukon Denali...no compression cyl #8

Thanks, I paid $6,950 for it. Transmission seems to be okay, but service stabilitrack and suspension system lights have intermittently came on as well since I’ve owned it. I am somewhat mechanically inclined but don’t really have the time or space to do motor swap right now. What could I...

    2007 Yukon Denali...no compression cyl #8

Unfortunately I think I bought a lemon. I bought a 2007 Denali XL 6.2 and at the end of November 2018 and replaced both wheel hub assemblies, outer tie rod, & brakes and rotors. After taking a break from front end repairs (still need to change both lower ball joints) It started misfiring and...
