    I used my stock retainers. I didn’t change my lifters they never have made a noise. Still to this day quiet as can be an this has been a while since I installed cam. An I recommend the Che trunnion kit with your stock rocker arms

    Well it hasn’t done it again since I replaced the purge valve. That’s really weird and didn’t think it would cause a long crank. So this would be some good info for some ppl to have.

    O yea. I can change it pretty fast lol. Only reason I did not was cuz it’s my daily an all I could get at the time was the precision pump. They had to order anything else

    Yes thanks for the reply. I figured my switch has nothing to do with it. Just gonna throw the Delphi pump in an see if it helps. Regulator checked out. I did find that my purge valve was bad. Won’t hold vacumn. But that’s not the cause. Already changed it out.

    It’s really not hard. Couple screws take trim off at door handle an triangle piece at top by mirror an lock button. Pretty easy. Watch you tube.

    I would get a new transcooler while your at it. I been looking at getting one for mine. The true cool transcooler look to be very good. An since your towing it will definitely extend the life of your tranny

    Out of everything listed above I just slapped a truck Norris cam in from btr. Also did the .560 valve springs and che trunnion upgrade and hardened pushrods 7.425

    both of them are not the same nor suppose to be. The driver side usually sits lower cuz the gas tank an stuff. Mine are not even an never have been. Just take a tape an measure. Then adjust.     Got a new set of btr pushrods 7.400. Never installed an a set of Powell cams. Both are the hardened chromoly an were over 100 each. 80 shipped.

    I have done some experiments so far lol. I’ve ran castrol edge with titanium in 5w30 an 10w30 an yesterday went to penzoil platinum 5w30 An I’ve tried wix filters an yesterday threw a Mobil one on.

    What’s up guys. I got a 04 tahoe 5.3 LT flex fuel 2wd. I upgraded timing chain oil pump did the truck Norris camshaft .560 springs that come with it an the seals. Also they said 7.400 pushrods will be fine. I have stock heads and lifters still. They’ve never gave a problem or sounded bad...

    Can't get fan clutch loose

    U can use a 15 dollar air hammer if u got one. U put it against bolt an hit it an it will knock it lose. Or use a c clamp. Hook it on water pump pulley. Keep it from spinning.

    Yes it was not fun but I’m on a week or so now an no drops. Was getting tired of the smell where the oil went all over my y pipe. Soaked the underneath.
