    Resurrecting the dead here but the sound came back a little while later, turns out it was a loose aluminum skid plate behind the bumper. Kind of an odd thing but i replaced the bolts and got it tight. It had shoulder bolts on it and I believe it had some sort of spring washer in it at one time...

    :D i havnt been on in a while and i sort of forgot this thread. I fixed it about 6 months ago. Found out what it was about a year ago. The lower ball joint had up and down play and if you turned and backed up just right it would pop.

    I have a 95 4wd 2dr. I took an 80 mile round trip. Very little in town mostly highway and i was getting 18.1. Thats the best i ever got with it. I averaged around 60mph Usualy i get 16-17 hwy depend on how i drive. If i drive in town only i tend to get from 10-13 depends on how i drive as well...
