Supercharged 5.3 a First Impressions
I am glad that you have a 6L80E. Mine was a 4L60E. And, it blew up rather quickly, in the 2nd month of street use. I had it built out to 4L65E with firmer shifts, and it has been OK so far. The Tahoe did not come with Flex Fuel at all. It is a mod that I put together to boost the octane. There is a port and pin position on the ECM for a Flex Fuel input, but the engine did not come as a Flex Fuel engine. Any ideas on how to check the flex fuel sensor's output to the ECM? I changed to a smaller pulley on the supercharger and now it gets 15 lbs of boost. However, I was running out of gas at 5500 rpm. Anyone done side exit exhaust?
If the vehicle is moving, there is no chance of gases getting in through the window. Sitting there and idling, maybe minimal.- Bill Marshalonis
