Need some assistance with ongoing HVAC issues

Well, even though my pressures looked good, I added an entire can and got the high side over 200 lbs, and the AC got much colder and stayed on. The condenser looked great (both sides). I know this because I also discovered that my radiator developed a leak (noticed low coolant in tank), and as I...

Need some assistance with ongoing HVAC issues

Doubleleive - mine does a similar thing, but always flashes the snowflake if I try and turn on the AC when it goes into "off" mode. Today it has been exceptionally bad. It would work for 5 minutes, then cut off (never done that before). Rocket Man, sometimes it does that, but sometimes it...

Need some assistance with ongoing HVAC issues

I haven't experienced that yet. When the AC turns on, it does blow cold. It just seems to sometimes not want to engage the compressor and the AC indicator flashes the snowflake. It does eventually turn on, but I do plan on swapping out the orifice tube.

I guess the next steps are to drain, flush, and refill the system. I can replace the orifice tube while I'm at it. I don't think that is causing the issue, but at this point I have no idea.

Yes, belt is new, tensioner is also new. Clutch works. It isn't mechanical, as far as simple things go. The AC works more often than not.

    Thinking about replacing windshield myself.

Safelite glass isn't inferior quality, but safelite bought old molds, which tend to be warped after the OEM company used them forever. Safelite glass tends to have far more distortions, but I never noticed a thickness difference between PPG, OEM, Pilkington, or safelite. Honestly, go OEM if you can.

Need some assistance with ongoing HVAC issues

Truck: 2006 Z71 I bought this truck 2 years ago with about 98000 miles on it. I have about 110k on it now. Shortly after purchase (bought in winter) the AC was working, but that summer, I experienced times when it would flash the AC symbol and cut out. Did a lot of diagnostics, and the cause...

    Thinking about replacing windshield myself.

I worked for safelite as a mobile pro for a few years. Removing it is actually the easy part. Setting a larger windshield by yourself, after putting the proper bead of urethane (which we applied heated using an electric caulk gun), is fairly tricky. Some vehicles had stops, some didn't, but if...

Gauge Cluster Positive Pins for those doing LED conversion

I'll take some in a bit. I'll likely change out the blue for more of a white in the future.

Gauge Cluster Positive Pins for those doing LED conversion

Since I saw a lot of people with instructions on how to do the conversion, but no one really had the information on specifically which pins were positive, I took the time to write mine down. 2006 Tahoe Z71. I am ONLY indicating the Positive (+) pin. The negative will obviously be the other one...

    Parting out 2006 Denali XL

Thanks for the update. Took me a bit to respond due to crazy work. I think I'll end up getting new bumpers, as mine are in a similar touch up state. Thanks though!

    Parting out 2006 Denali XL

Also, how nice of shape are your front/rear bumpers? I just got a 2006 Tahoe z71 that is the same color as yours, with the only cosmetic issues being the bumpers. A denali front bumper would look nice on it.

I'm interested in the gauge cluster. How much shipped to 21822. Also do you have anymore pictures of the cluster.

    Rear Brakes how Much

I did all 4 rotors and pads in my driveway on jack stands in about 2-3 hours using only hand tools (my air compressor broke). The brakes on my 06 tahoe were very simple. That being said, I have a decent amount of mechanical skill.
