Lowered with [subs] system? Im curious

I've got a system in my truck. I am 4" dropped in the rear (2/4) but I used Hotchkis springs so they are stiffer than factory. The only time my rear sags is when I have 6 passengers in it.

6L80 to 10L90 swap? Seeking insight on a 10 speed transmission upgrade

@Pilot - Where is that video? If you don't have time to process it, I will do it for you. I can run down to Bloomfield and pick up the raw footage - I am a hop away in Clifton. Lunch at Holsten's on me! lol

    Anyone installed Eibach front swaybar

Late to the party but I went with DJM swaybar links (front and rear) They are short and have poly bushings.

    Collapsed lifter

I hope you are doing the DOD\AFM cam delete - new cam, lifters and pushrods without that crappy spring. Cause then you are good to 600k on that motor. If you are planning any power adders, I would get an upsized fuel lobe on the cam as well. I want to do my motor and trans so bad.

Round 7, my new RST 6.2 Perf. pack

If he tunes out the DOD\AFM and keeps up with the oil changes, there shouldn't be any issues. I've been beating on my truck for 100K miles and I never upgraded the valve train - granted mine is the older gen, but its that same ****** spring loaded lifter design in the L83-4\L86-7 motors is...

Round 7, my new RST 6.2 Perf. pack

Your truck is Global B. I don;t know if its been completely unlocked yet or not but I know if you want a blower on the L84 or L87 motor, you need to buy an unlocked ECM from Whipple or Maggie. Not sure if thats still the case but you should look into it a little more. Blackbear Performance...

    22" chrome wheel leaks

Mine were leaking around the valve stem. Temp fix was to use a grinder, a wire wheel, and eventually a dremel to get rid of the pitted chrome and slather on the tire bead sealer in the valve stem hole. Held for a while. In the end the permanent fix was to have the chrome stripped off and have...

Catch can green light for me, edited

I still swear by my MightyMouse catch can. You probably don't need the extreme version unless you plan on boosting the truck like I did, but they make a real quality product. Its been on my truck 6 years (2017 Burb). I have read good things about the JL catch can also but I have no experience...

    Suburban Drop day(s)

Make sure you get the upgraded Spohns with the del-sphere joint especially if you are doing panhard and LCAs. When I called Spohn they recommended the del-sphere cause it allows some "flex" in the suspension so it doesn't bind up. If you do the boxed uppers and lowers and the Panhard, there's...

    Brembo Big Brake Kit

You shouldn't have a problem. The brembo's from the factory will fit all wheels 20" or larger. Just make sure the compound of the pads they are including is OEM or a softer compound. I went with wilwoods on my rig and I had a lot of brake chatter and its cause the compound of the pads was...

Never ending debate - best oil weight

I have a 17 Suburban and have been using the dealer\GM recommended oil since I bought it. I haven't switched to mobile one or anything like that, even though I use Mobile 1 strictly in my TA. While various name brands of oil, blends, and weights may make a small difference, the INTERVALS...

Gas mileage dropping faster than the stock market, less than 200 to the tank...

Check the TikTok shop. They are selling a variety of TopDon scanners for $200 or less. I may pick one up myself even though I have a BT one like you plus a full on HP Tuners key.

    Weathertech Mats

I ordered my WT liners - 3 rows and the back storage area - days after coming home with my 17 Burb. Curling where the doors close in the 2nmd row is my only issue. Otherwise they are kick ass.

Engine choice for new Yukon XL Denali (best reliability for next 3 years)

I have to agree with @Tinbadtin However, I remember reading that they were planning on putting the 2.7L Turbo 4 in the SUVs as the base engine option. If that was available, I would probably max out a Yukon XL SLT, forgo the Denali package and stick with the turbo 4. Been driving my Dad's 22...

    door ding removal

I did this for my Pontoon boat where there were a couple of dents on the side panels. It worked but not happy with the results. Its good enough for the boat. I would not do this on my Burb

    Need help debating new wheels

DON'T BUY CHROME So had similar issues with my aftermarket wheels. After a few years I kept getting small leaks etc and went crazy trying to figure out where the hole in the tire was. It ended up being corrosion on the inside of the wheel lip. I had the wheels dechromed and powder coated and...

Hello everyone!!!! 2012 Tahoe manual transmission swap?

There's a guy on TikTok I saw that put the same drivetrain in his GMT900 tahoe. I will have to look for it and post again here. But yeah I've been considering it too. I'm super disappointed that the 4.10s I have are screaming on the highway with my 6L80. I didn't realize the final drive...

Why The Gen-V LT Outshines The LS

Didn't the LTs get a 1 or 2mm thicker head bolt? I remember reading that somewhere. Ford did the same thing with the Gen 3 Coyote. I'm looking at fuel upgrades now cause my tuner said I am out of fuel. I think the LT is a better platform but you are correct, it does take more money. I have...

2019 Tahoe 5.3 LT Battery Drain

Completely agree with @RoadTrip but I would add 2 ground wires anyway just to be safe. Using some high quality 8 guage wire (Oxygen free copper (OFC) over copper covered aluminum (CCA)) add a ground wire from battery terminal to the body and one from the engine block to the body - preferably 2...

Opinions on the previous generation of tahoes or Yukons?

Have to agree. GMC didn't "surpass" the Chevy until the K2s in terms of front end appeal. I absolutely loved my 08 Avalanche. I was so pissed they weren't making a K2 Avy. But I succumbed and bought the 'Burb. The 08 Avy without the body cladding of the 800's IMO was a perfect blend of...
