Need advice on 20 inch or 22 inch for Yukon Denali 2023

Brilliant! Get the 22” at order and buy a new set of take off 20”. It would be way cheaper than if you got 20” and decided you couldn’t live without the 22”. Btw- I have 20” and I put the GM Perf/Brembo calipers on the front and had no clearance issue.

Anything that helps to prevent people from stepping in dog dook is okay by me.

    Need help with GM/Kicker Sub

The increase in bass wasn’t spectacular. But it did fill in the lack from the oem Bose. It won’t thump like a pair of 12’s and a big amp, but it sounds better. I think it makes the greatest difference when watching DVDs. Polar Express (w/Tom Hanks) sounds like the train was chasing us.

    Need help with GM/Kicker Sub

I have the Bose. After the headache from fishing the wire through that big grommet, it was all straight forward on the install. When I say “straight forward,” I mean as a matter of sticking with the instructions. It requires more interior panels to be removed than I would’ve thought, but I think...

Florida/Georgia dealers accepting order @ msrp?

I bought my truck from a guy named David Hurley. Probably one of the best guys I’ve ever worked with. Rivard is where I-75 exits to Tampa/Brandon.

Yukon drives like a death trap after 4" lift.

All I did was a 2” leveling kit on my ‘16 LTZ. Yet, it came with new front alignment specs. Contact the manufacturer of your lift kit. Chances are, they’ll have amended numbers to give your alignment tech.

    Nitrogen filled tires

Nitrogen matters in race car tires. They operate within such an extreme envelope that an adjustment of a half pound of air pressure is a significant change.

    New tires from the dealership

I’ve had rims on two different trucks scratched up by tire installers. I had them both note condition of the rims on the work order, prior to their guys starting. The small store denied the damage, resulting in small claims court. The dealer made it right without question. I don’t have to have...

    Wood grain cover up

Well done! The only thing that looks worse than fake wood is old fake wood. When I was a Chevy truck salesman, I never heard one person say they were choosing a truck specifically because they liked the fake wood. Yet, the auto manufacturers just can’t let go of it.

    Denali wheel in Tahoe

Well, that clears any doubt about a Tahoe airbag fitting a GMC steering wheel. The difference is cosmetic.

    New Tires - who's running 44psi ???

I heard so many arguments that I called the Goodyear Tire Co. The max pressure printed on the tire is the max for mounting a tire. It is never to be exceeded when seating the bead. The operating pressure in the door jamb is what you go by. You can exceed that number by a few pounds when carrying...

    Need help with GM/Kicker Sub

All done and thanks for the input! I went through the big grommet on the drivers firewall. What was giving me trouble was that there is a second wall to go through. The Kicker instructions make it sound like a small cut and you're done. If you push hard enough from the underhood side, the second...

    Need help with GM/Kicker Sub

I’m trying to install a GM/Kicker ssutayu15 subwoofer in my 2016 Tahoe LTZ. The instructions say to make a cut in the plug for the power wire. It implies that there is a pass through or port. All I see is a wiring harness. I’m hesitant to poke around tomuch, lest I poke something that...

    Steering Wheel Compatibility

I want to use my Tahoe airbag in the Yukon wheel. From pictures, they look like it would work. I’d hate to buy a GMC wheel, get it all apart and find one clip or something is a little different.

    Hit 100K today!

**Addendum ** You said you have 80K miles- now is the time to make a decision on the future of your truck. When mine hit 100K miles, there was a giant flushing sound. That was my trade in value. My Tahoe has been good to me. So, at 80K, the value was still good, but I decided to go long and...

    Hit 100K today!

Lessee... Going long here. 1. I have had to replace the rear condenser. I’m in Tampa, FL and the a/c gets run hard all year. 2. I still have AFM. And the Corsa Sport cat back sounds like a Cessna when the AFM kicks in. 3. I have a catch can. It does work. I have a GM Perf. cold air intake and...

    Hit 100K today!

Big day for my ‘16 LTZ! I wanted to video it rolling over, but the traffic was heavy and I didn’t want to die. It’s been pretty reliable, but I’m judicious about maintenance. Let’s see what the next 100K miles has in store.

    Exhaust decisions...

I had a GM Borla on my last Tahoe and I liked it. It’s pricey, but it’s the only one I know of with the flap to prevent it from sounding like you are being chased by an airboat. On my ‘16 LTZ, I went with a Corsa Sport. If I had a redo- I’d go With GM Borla.

    Brembo On Tahoe

The kit only has front calipers. It does look a bit mismatched.
