    No A/C, driving me crazy.

It might be under another tab. This is the HVAC tab. Actual pressure feedback is probably under the general tab if its there. It will show me rear air ride system pressure so I would assume it would show actual ac system pressure too.

    No A/C, driving me crazy.

Get a scanner that will read all the AC PID. My 50 dollar top scan dongle will read all of this.

    Starter Rebuild

Same exact thing happened to me when I did the rear main seal on my Denali. Honestly it's not worth rebuilding the older 1.4Kw units. I highly suggest upgrading to the newer ACdelco 2.0Kw units.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finally had some time to finish my trans hard part updates. Got my sonnax corvette ratio servo installed. Super easy job on these trucks. I was done so quick I forgot to take pictures. Enjoy an image of the box and old parts in there for safe keeping. Lol FYI the sonnax kit does NOT include a...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Serviced the trans on the escalade today. Pretty straight forward job. However the two torx bolts that hold the shifter cable bracket on were a pain like always. Fun fact, pan bolts are the right length and threads to swap in place of the torx bolts. Installed a sonnax pinless 1-2 accumulator...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Its doable for sure, just takes time. In hindsight I should have pulled the steering shaft, that would have let me get the manifold all the way out. I was being lazy and just rotated the manifold about 45* to clear the front and rear holes. The extra room would have helped a lot I think.

Fixed my two broken exhaust manifold bolts. Front and rear bolt on the drivers side were broke flush. Pulled the manifold and welded nuts to them. Front one i got first try. Rear one was stuck pretty good and fought me a while. Installed arp stainless bolts on both sides, new gm gaskets, new...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Upgraded the escalade to 2019 and up calipers and rotors. Super easy job, all bolt on and go. I already had 2019 and up wheels on my tuck so no fitment issues there. Only fabrication required was some caliper spacers to get the alignment correct. Also put two new timken hubs in as the drivers...

HD tie rods, anyone used this kit?

Researching parts for a front end rebuild on my escalade and i came across apex chassis parts. I have not heard of them, wondering if anyone has any feedback on this kit? https://apexchassis.com/collections/apex-chassis-parts/products/kit108-hd-tie-rod-assembly-apex-design-2-tr103 The parts...

    Elusive oil leak

LS engines have what's commonly referred to as the "rear cover" it's essentially the rear main seal housing but covers quite a bit more than the older SBC style rear main seal housing. the design was updated at least one time over the years.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

i have installed a TON of the pinless 1-2 accumulators over the years. i have seen a lot of cracked plastic pistons and hell in my personal TBSS, the pin was worn letting fluid leak past the piston causing a lazy 1-2 shift. I really like the corvette servo combo, pinless 1-2 accumulator pin...

    Elusive oil leak

95% of the time it's the rear cover that leaks on these.

    What is left to try?

first test with a crank no start is will it start on starter fluid. Thats usually a good indication of if its fuel system or not.

    Starting problems

When you get the no crank condition, you need to see if you have 12 volts on the purple wire at the starter solenoid. If 12 volts is present, then likely a bad starter. if 12 volts is not present, then you have an upstream electrical issue that requires further diag. Also not a bad idea to see...

Front Differential Spanner Lock Tab Replacement

split the case and change the lock tab correctly. If the carrier bearings are in good shape, reseal and re assemble. For what it's worth, I have not taken a single 8.2 IFS diff apart that had good carrier bearings. The locking tab is a poor design on these.

    Looking for a steering box..HELP!

i have not personally used them, but two good buddies have used this company on their autoX cars. One in a 65 chevelle the other in an 84 c10. both seemed real happy with what they got. Link below is for an 06 escalade, looks like there is 2 styles, you need to verify what you have...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Jumped on another project today. I was determined to save my ext back glass over buying a Chinese replacement. This is avalanche/ext specific but the rear window frames crack and eventually leak. We'll its a real soft plastic trim on the glass and all I can think is that it shrinks over time...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Had a few small things i wanted to get done today. A crack started on my dash bezel in the escalade and I wanted to stop it before it got worse. Also decided to replace the bulbs in the hvac headunit while I had the dash apart. This truck only had one bulb out, but at 20 years old, I just did...

Rear diff axle clearance issues- c clip reinstallation

The abs tone ring in the end of the axle housing is a light press fit. I find it best to put a pry bar in the c clip groove and pry against the carrier to pull the axle in the last bit. You can usually push them in my hand 90% of the way.

pump replacement is pretty easy. hardest part is getting that damn filler neck off the tank lol. one thing i would suggest is to have the nylon fuel line on hand. its the one on top of the tank that connect the sending unit to the metal lines at the cross member. The fitting likes to rust weld...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I did not. I just got a static reading with KOEO. I would still check cat pressure. I made a tool for checking them. O2 sensors plug, some fittings, poly tubing and a 0-15 psi gauge. Pulled the pre cat o2 sensor, install gauge. Start engine, pressure should be roughly zero at idle. Give a small...
