What kind of PowerSlot rotors to buy?

I put the Cryo Power Slots on my pops 96 1500 Burb, with the best Power Slot ceramic brake pads the Tire Rack sold. He's had them about a year, he said it's an improvement but the brakes really need to get hot before they start working real well, I told him it's the ceramic pads, next time will...

As was said. Also the stock HT6 is also known for Black Death http://www.ackits.com/c/BlackDeath/Auto+AC+Compressor+Failure+%28Black+Death%29.html, meaning their garbage and when they start to go they contaminate the entire system with black sooty crap. I recovered the refrigerent and...

    1999 Tahoe maintenance questions

At that milage I'd do a full tune up, and do use GM parts, www.gmpartsdirect.com has some awsome good prices on GM replacement parts, you just need the service part number. Part numbers for common replacement parts are: Distributor Cap:----10452459-----$33.88...

ac wont blow on high! help?

More then likly you need a new HVAC control panel. Mine has the same issues, sometimes the blower motor won't work, then I flick the switch on the panel and it'll come back on, more then likely a faultly switch.

    Blew a Motor!

If it were me I'd buy the GM L31 crate motor, for $2400, you can't go wrong at that price, it's a few hundred bucks more then a full rebuild.

    Shock ideas

Looking to replace the stock Bilsteins since I got 116K on them now, just wondering what would be a good replacement. Vehical is used for transportation, the wife and kid are in it the most and do a lot highway travel. I was thinking Bilstein HD or LD, or Edelbrock IAS????????

    Replacing steering wheel sensor

After rebuilding my whole front end, and getting a wheel alignment my truck still seemd to handle like bull shit on the highway. After reading some stuff here and checking the GM TSBs, it seems if I replace the steering wheel sensor my problems should go away. As the sensor goes bad the EVO...

    ABS follow up

Well I checked with GM to see if I was under a recall, apparantly the recall according to GM starts with the first digit of the last eight digits in you VIN, mine happens to be a X, the recall starts with and ends with Y. So I was SOL. Anyway I followed the GM TSBs for the ABS sensor cleaning...

    96 Suburban

My pops 96 Burb seems to have a buck under load or hard acceleration, it just started. Back in march I replaced the spider with a MPI and it ran perfect since then, but now is acting a bit weird. He's been very good with tune ups so that can't be it, any help will be appreciated.

    dart heads

The problem with those heads is your lose all your low speed port volocity and the truck will feel sluggish. IMO probably the best head for our trucks right now would the AFR eliminator 180 head, and a short duration Comp 4x4 cam around the 212° @.050 and you'll be making over 350HP, those heads...

    3rd row seat??

I know these trucks never came with third row seats, however I was looking at my pops 96 Burb and it looks like the rear seat would fit the Hoe, just real close to the back doors??? Just wondering if anyone ever did it, or know of it?

    91 S10 Blazer??

My pop has a 91 with the 4.3 throttle body fuel injection, with 245,000 miles on her. The problem is it has no power at all, he said on hills the truck stuggles real bad, the engine seems to run pretty decent, was just wondering if it's dirty injectors or a possible tune up, or is the motor...

    ABS issues

Well I pulled the hubs and checked to see if the reluctor ring was corroded or the sensor was dirty. However everything seemed ok, so I cleaned the sensors and rings somewhat, put it back together and the brakes a liiiittle better, but every time the speed drops below 8 MPH you can still feel...

    Who else is playing....

Don't know as I've never used it. Mabe a really slow leak, like a once a year recharge, but a weekly or monthly recharge is a big leak and needs to be repaired, as it's a waste of money and refrigerent.

    tbi vs carb!

Same as your current SCFI spider unit, except it uses actual Delphi injectors at the end of each tube instead of poppet valves. This ebay ad is an awsome price. I did this install for my pop on his 96 Burb when the SFI regulator went causing the truck to run crap. Will do to mine when I get the...

    Who else is playing....

I know it's an old thread but summer is coming, so I'll revive it. I'm an HVAC tech by trade, so I can help out. Most of these trucks leak in the rear A/C lines going to the rear evaperator. Their located under the truck, passenger side frame rails, and get killed all winter long from salt which...
