Yes I posted about this in my build thread! you can get some flat 4 or 6 spot terminals for the side post battery. Mine were from sky high car audio. I used 3/8-16 Allen bolts iirc. Worked great.
Surf was pretty good until I sent a sub Sunday morning. Didn’t realize the music track I was using wasn’t long enough..so 55 seconds into a full volume run it changed, one of the subs said nope and destroyed itself. Filled the inside with smoke and turned the coil into a slinky. I’ll pull it...
Didn’t realize how yellow the eBay apc reps got until I pulled the og apc corners out and set it side by side. Got those back on and did a full inside out 4 hour detail after work this morning. Leaving for surf city 2025 tomorrow morning!!
Surf city sound off is next weekend and I’m slacking!
Been getting an occasional code for the o2 sensors this past week. Them being like 8 years old and driving around 1k miles untuned probably didn’t help.
Got those swapped out, oil change done, fueled up and tuned my amps. All that’s left...
They do now with the new ones at ride height. I was saying with the old ones I’m surprised I never heard any metal to metal with them before from being so deteriorated.
These jounce bumpers might as well have not been on lol. Cut down the new ones and swapped them out.
This was still jacked up after I put them in. I’ve never heard anything bottom out like metal to metal but they do sit awful close when it’s on the ground.
Noticed the bottom of the oil pan...
In town I only run it in 3rd and anytime I hit any type of incline tow/haul is used. Also helps I don’t drive it all the time though too. But that bridge will have to be crossed at some point for sure.
You’re probably not wrong. But we will cross that road when it happens hahaha. I baby the shit out of it though. Keeping it cool and out of overdrive helps a lot but it will only help so much lol
It’s really hard to not constantly drive stupid when it sounds good or is quick hahah :headbang:
I’m pushing near 7k with the audio and still the stock trans at 250k but I will say it’s insane how tired my last 5.3 was. It’ll move pretty damn good now. It’s really hard to not do full throttle...
Yeah seriously. Good thing you didn’t blow the motor! My local guy has tuned a lot of friends vehicles n/a and boosted. He tuned my pickup as well. I’ll see how my mpg are this week. Untuned it was averaging about 15ish so not bad. Hopefully it’s a little better now but I knew going into it I...
Took a month to get ahold of my tuner(he is swamped) but as of earlier today it is tuned!
I’ve put close to 1k miles on it since the swap. I’ll try to get a video of it post tune. But just driving to work earlier it is so much better. Nice not having to worry about it dying or throwing misfire...
That video it’s still untuned. Idles at like 750ish. Love how it sounds though. It really feels good even now. I’m trying my hardest not to drive it a lot without the tune but it’s hard. I haven’t really given it past 1/4 throttle, I’m being super gentle just in case.
That’s why I did the trailblazer converter. Just slightly more stall than the stock one. It drives great so far without issue. I had a 2k rpm converter in my pickup with the truck Norris cam and it was horrible off the line. Unfortunately now I have a 3600 stall in there(was a spare in the...
Took almost 10 years for me to replace this for whatever reason. Absolutely disgustingly stained. Ps thank god for hose pinch pliers, didn’t lose a drop of coolant
Yeah mainly what I have done with them is add back buttons, mouse click triggers, led kits etc. mouse click triggers and back buttons definitely give an advantage in first person shooters.
I agree it is wild lol. My tuner is busy right now but hoping it’ll be tuned within a week or two. I...
For sure! the past couple years of me being missing in action was mainly me working and driving it occasionally. Kinda lost the drive to do anything to it and got back into gaming stuff. Naturally started modding controllers of course tho.
But it’s getting more love now. The recent engine...
Those are definitely not the most fun. Just swapped the rear end on my dad’s 69 c20 and it had never been apart I’m pretty sure. The trailing arm u bolts all had to be cut off
Couldn’t let this nice weather go to waste. Cleaned the Tahoe and starting to organize the garage a little more. It’s small so I don’t have much space after the Tahoe and my pickup are in there. Getting better at least
Ps yeah my old th400 sweats in the truck still haha
