    02 Base for my son

Work fired the youngster back in October because he’s a drunk and now we’re down to 3 guys. That put me back on afternoons (3-11) which I absolutely hate because I don’t see my family all week and I can’t get nothing done at home so I’ve just been working 12-14 hr days and did 7 days a week for...

Nice. It’s a good looking fox body. I like the LX more than the GT. Fun little toy and would run even better with your LS in it. Hint hint.

Last but not least, my son Jack turned 19 on the 13th of this month and he is shipping off to Lackland Air Force base on July 16th to start his journey as an Airmen in the United States Air Force. He graduates on September 5th from BMT. Jess and I have already bought our airfare, hotel and...

Also I bought a new tool box for up north because I’m overflowing the small box I have in the sled garage. Paid $900 for a nice US General HF box that’s 56x22 and ordered it in white. Took 2 months to show up and this is how it came. Can you believe this? I finally got it flipped and...

I blame Jess because as soon as they released the 25 Yamaha models she tagged me in this post. She doesn’t like the gray Sidewinder, she likes the all black Viper so she wanted me to buy a new black one. Crazy money for these things but this is the first new sled I’ve ever bought and...

Nick and I got 318 miles in on that weekend and that was it!!!!! Trails never opened in northern Wisconsin. El Niño kicked our rears this year. And it hurts after I spent so much time and money on my sled. But Nick spent about $8k modifying his over last summer so he felt it too. My new...

Snow sucked this year! Never ride my Sidewinder after I put about $6k into it getting it ready for season. Early january I still had a few things to do on the sled and we heard the snow was coming but in southern Wisconsin so I dragged my Viper home that weekend we did the mud room. I installed...

Above posts is how we left it that weekend. I was sore and tired for sure but made good progress. The next couple trips up I had other stuff going on but I did manage to get lighting, switches and baseboard heater in. Insulated under the landing and got more insulation up in garage walls as...

This was all done in one weekend too. Nick, my brother and myself. Got there Thursday night and left Sunday morning. So 2 days really.

Also finished the “mud room” off the main garage going into house to have our gear stored there instead of everyone dragging snow and gear into the kitchen. Only thing I have left to do is mud and tape drywall. Just waiting for weather to break. This happened early January while we were waiting...

The next day it was starting to dry out and was easier to work with without bobcat tearing it up as fast as I could smooth it out. I think it came out pretty good and I’m happy with it. Was even better the next time we went up because it had time to settle and stiffen up.

It rained for a few days before I got back up there so the gravel was really wet and was a mess to work with.

I had gravel dropped up there while I wasn’t there. Figured they know how to drop gravel on a driveway so I wouldn’t have to drag the bobcat back up north but this is what they did. Jeez! So back up I went dragging the bobcat. The first time my brother offered to drive with his truck so at...

After my foot healed, kinda, still dealing with issues from surgery because I think they nicked a nerve, I got up north and fixed the driveway. I had to fix the backfill and slope the ground away from garage. Decided to just make a trailer parking area there and open driveway up all the way to...

Few updates August 9th- Wife bought me a Rott. Always wanted one and Lola would have been a Rottweiler but Jess really wanted a bulldog/boxer. I was totally surprised by it. Mixed emotions. Part of me wasn’t ready and didn’t think I would be for a long time but then I thought about how much...

Still putting a beating on ole girl and breaking stuff I see. I think you just like working on it, at the very least posting about it. 7k replies and over 700 pages? Holy cow! Takes a lot of time trying to keep up with this thread. Every time I come on here I’m trying to catch up on my watched...

Black or Gray Mats on Pewter Interior?

I agree, if it won’t match then contrast it is. I do like my mats to blend with floor color and if it’s a noticeable shade different, it may as well be a different color because it would drive me crazy.

    Running Board Help

I would put the bolts back in or use shorter bolts just to keep dirt, dust, mud and water out of the cavities. A little anti seize on the threads and even a flat washer with an o-ring between the body panel and flat washer would be worth doing. I do whatever I can to prevent a panel from rotting...

Last Monday, 4-24 I finally went in for surgery on my foot. They put a hole on each side and put a tube through. One side they went in with a camera and the other with tools and relief cut my tendons. Been 5 days now and it feels like the tendons are balled up just in front of my heal when I...

Beginning of April I had to do the rear brakes on the Esky. I thought it wasn’t that long ago I just did them but I guess it was in ‘19. Straight forward brake job until I got to the drivers side and the rotor didn’t wanna come off. The parking brake shoe wore a groove into the inside mating...

It kept me busy though. Both frame rails were rusted through so I replaced them. Chipped and cleaned all the rust scale off everything, cut it out and replaced it or sealed it with rust convertor then coated it with POR15. I boxed in all the “C” channel on the side rails too for added strength.

Decided to fix some rusty side panels on our EZGO at work and it turned into a complete nightmare project. The more I removed tackling the rust the worse it got.
