hesitation
I have a 97 Tahoe. I just did lower intake gaskets. I have no codes showing but it now falls on its face at 3k rpm. runs really good till I get on it then it just bogs down at 3k.- *HEAVY-CHEVY*

Well that's the thing. My tahoe runs like a dream aside from getting a little less that preferred gas mileage and when I did have it looked at by the exhaust shops they said my cats were burnt. exhaust/fuel injection???
Well I cleaned the maf sensor and cleared the code. My check engine light hasn't come back on yet (about 4 days) we'll see if it stays off. Will this sensor being dirty cause any problems other than the code being thrown? Such as power loss or poor gas mileage? I've only been getting about 14...- *HEAVY-CHEVY*

I recently had to replace my cats. I talked to multiple exhaust shops and they all told me that I cannot cut out the cats and weld in 2 new ones or it would throw the same code within a few months and also cannot install anything other than shorty headers as far as aftermarket. So i jumped ahead cause I was told my cats were bad. I left out the part where i went in and had a Cherry Bomb "Vortex" muffler put on and it was very quiet.
