Quick question for ya if you’re still working on the truck. R/A lists a physical flex fuel sensor for the 14 Esky. Do you see one on the fuel lines under the truck.
I’m thinking it’s an error and R/A forgot that Esky were still Gen 3 in 14 but the pick ups had moved on to Gen 4 in 2014.
That trans jack paid for itself right there. Make sure you verify your evap charcoal canister isn’t losing its pellets and install a new one before the tank goes back in.
Another way the f/p goes bad is having the carbon pellets migrate into the fuel system. If that hasn’t happened, you got...
The Gen III 07-14 5.3L & 09-14 6.2L motors don’t have the typical e85 calculation data harness or sensor. e85 is calculated by data from the o2 sensors so no sensor to connect to on Gen 3 or 4. We can add one though.
This is still good info because I’ve got an 01 S10 with e85 and that pricey...
Ironically just had a buddy refer me to this 3M product for boats. I used it to lock in a plastic anchor into a marble shower dam wall that a piece of 4x8 glass needed a frameless glass shower clip mounted on.
It’s only made in white but this particular version dries in 24-48 hrs and can be...
Another winner! Congrats on fending off a $750 auto body repair
“I placed a small 2x4 at the bottom back edge, and closed the door so it was against the body metal at the bottom. I pushed the top of the door in (closer to closing) several times, and it stopped the popping on the fender. I...
If you notice the majority of the cost is labor. Thanks for mentioning your mileage. Your trans will soon be due for an overhaul.
Caution: removing the trans and the torque converter can upset the current moon & stars harmony going on between them at 195k miles.
If you haven’t replaced the...
I should have caught this earlier that the op had an 2011 chassis. GM yanked the a/c (TED) component after 2010 and adopted ventalated vs refrigerated seats.
Not sure if there’s a module under the seats like the 07-10 have. It’s a less complicated system but haven’t seen a write up on a repair...
No on the flushy, yes on a typical fluid & filter change as Foggy said.
Your 6L80 exhibits the symptoms of cracks in the shift housing as well as the shift flare.
Be mindful of investing in labor, parts and fluid you’re going to be due for shortly (again). The trans is already at the tail end...
All that proprietary stuff is what’s been worked out in the SW & HW package that mates a 10L80 to a 07-14 4 or 6SP factory trans …

No flushy. The slip is the warning sign on 07-08 trans. You wouldn’t want to dislodge anything into the system at that milage.
For giggles and kicks shop around for a 2019+ 10L80 10speed trans. If you source one from a running known good / crashed truck, plop that in and begin the ear to ear...
Post in thread 'Steering Rack Replacement'

Here’s one I hadn’t heard of…
Plews & Edlemann Rack and Pinion
You got 80-90% of the major services covered. When I did the whole enchilada on the front end of my 09 this year it was the rack swap that did the trick for getting rid of the play and bump in the steering.
The replacement rack from Detroit axle was priced ridiculously below $2h shipped with no...
They went on my 08 YXL Denali right before it sold so it had upgraded PIAA halogen bulbs. Even with those, the H1 driving lights were inadequate.
Not sure if or where the adjustments were. I can tell you that those projector beams + those H1 bulbs I referenced will make you a happy camper.
Could be a wheel bearing(s) or a CV joint(s) on the front axles. With that milage I’d be more interested in the front drive train & suspension vs the trans.
Welcome,
If you’ve got the lane change blind spotting feature you’d probably have to substitute the led side lamp feature on this example as the indicator that’s behind the OEM mirrors.
The mirrors below fit a Suburban 2500 so they’d fit a Tahoe...
Any chance you have a foot mat that’s binding on them? That particular feature doesn’t get talked about much because of its (knock on wood) reliability.
