I have the chance to purchase a totalled 2005 2500 series suburban. Does the 2500 series suburban come with the higher hood? I havent seen the truck yet and everything i have found on here says it only comes on the silverado HD.
Is this difficult to replace. My friends sons were messing around in his truck and they broke it. Now if it isnt wedged in there correctly (with a toothpick, lol), the flashers stay on or one side will blink fast or not at all when he uses the turn signals. Thanks
Does "cruise" illuminate on the dash when you press the button? When I first got my truck it would light up but never work. It didnt bother me too much. One day while doing the oil, i noticed there was a cable hanging on top of the motor. it was the cruise cable. Not sure how or why it fell off...
WIll it work in an 02? I have taken many a nap with the truck running when the baby was first born and I was switched to the midnight shift. When the boy fell asleep, i would too!
Less than two day delivery! Sweet! If anyone is interested, Streetsideauto.com
They always seem to have some kind of coupon and any order over 50 bucks (i think) is free shipping.
Update
After crawling under the truck and taking a real good look, the intermediate pipe as well as the tail pipe both have big holes at the hangers. I have always heard this about Flowmaster. Ill see if a shop will weld it up, if not will just have to bite the bullet and grab a cat back. (not...
I am pretty sure they can fix it, I am just disappointed that the system is less than 2.5 years old and its rotted already. I can't say that I baby the truck though and it only has 53k on it. I thought it was a small leak and just needed to be tak welded at the pipe joints. Today i glanced over...
Hey all
MY 02 has a flowmaster system on it with the single tailpipe. I believe it is 3 inch and its a cat back system. Dam thing rotted on the tailpipe right where the hanger attatches. Does anyone know if this pipe is available seperately or do i have to get a whole system? I really dont...

I will send you a pm, after I post twice. I dont have ten posts yet.

My 02 tahoe can run on e-85. There is one station near me that has it and its about 30 cents cheaper than regular. I have had the truck a year and a half and have never run it on e-85. Is it worth it?
I have always changed it when the light comes on, which is @3500 miles. The first time i changed it with synthetic, the light came on about 2000 miles later so i changed it again. I think it was due to all the idling i did during that time though.

I am new to the forum and just wanted to see what everyone else uses. I have an 02 tahoe with 50k and the previous owner told me he always used synthetic. What is the worst that can happen if I switch to regular oil? I have heard it can develop leaks. Thanks for any help.
