2016 Yukon XL Near LED (5000K) Halogens

I just wanted to share for those budget minded folks and want a near LED headlight look on their 2016 Yukon XL. I leveraged the OSRAM Intense Blue Next Generation halogens (H11 for the main low beams and HB3 for the high beams). They’re color is 5000K and look way better than the yellowing dim...

Morimoto XB LED Headlight Swap- 2020 Yukon SLT

These look fantastic. These are also street legal which is nice as I’m researching the LED bulbs that are not so much. Were you able to get a discount or anything? Did you put in the matching Morimoto fog lights?

    New tire time coming soon

I second Texasdaddy’s recommendation on the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They are a hybrid tire that can suit some off road needs whilst staying quiet and smooth on the road (unlike other off road tires that are very loud). In addition, I know that from my past experience with Michelin (in an...

    Tires??!?

Awesome! Let us know what it looks like once you got them on. Congrats and look forward to seeing the ride.

    Tires

I prefer the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I’ve had them for over 2 years now, and they strike a good balance between firmness and smooth/bouncy for me. I always found the Michelin’s to soft (truck eats them) and bouncy. Not sure if it applies to the LTX. So far I have 23K on these Nitto Grapplers and...

    Tires??!?

With inspiration from JennaBear and others (Thank You!), I finally got around to upgrading my GMC OEM rims about a 2 years ago from the factory (first pic), to some American Racing gloss black milled 22x9 +30 offset AR916 rims. Also went with some 33x12.5R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers with a Rough...

How many people are running our 2 inch kit

I have the RC 2-inch kit on my 2016 Yukon. Really happy with it, however now I’m debating on whether to raise the back 1/2 inch to give it that more aggressive track stance...and maybe some red brake covers...hmmm.

What is the best 22" tire for a smooth ride

I prefer the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I’ve had them for over a year now, and they strike a good balance between firmness and smooth/bouncy for me. I always found the Michelin’s to soft and bouncy.

Tire Reviews Thread for 22'' Wheel

Sure. So no rubbing, and yes, I got a Rough Country 2 inch level on the front which makes the backend about 1/2 inch higher still. The offset is +30 and the American Racing AR916 rims are 22x9. You may be able to get away with a +15 with the Nitto Ridge Grappler, but what the folks at Big Tex...

2016 Yukon XL - 22in Nitto Ridge Grapplers

I know JennaBear was able to fit this same tire with a stock 22inch GMC Denali rim. I’m unsure of the offset on the Denali rim, but the offset of my older stock 20s we’re +45.

AT tires for 2015+ to replace 20" Conti's...Recommendations?

I recommend the 33x12.5R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers (JennaBear inspired me). I just replaced my 20 inch Continentals that I did not like whatsoever (too soft, bouncy l, and were worn by 28,000 Miles). Anyhow, time will tell on the wear, but they have a much better tread rating and have great...

Tire Reviews Thread for 22'' Wheel

So far, I’m loving the 33x12.5R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They provide a smooth, quiet ride, but a little firmer (which I prefer) than the OEM Continentals that made my car bounce up and down like I had bad shocks going over imperfections in the road. So overall, really happy with them and hope...

2016 Yukon XL - 22in Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Yeah, my initial choice for rims was a 22x10 Dropstar 654bm...thing looked sick as well on the Yukon, but because it was a -25 offset, it caused the wheel to be further away from the suspension and made the wheel stick out about 2 inches from the wheel well. Looked awesome, but it caused the...

Post your pics of Iridium Metallic?

Here’s mine with some 22 inch, +30 offset American Racing AR916 gloss black milled rims and 33x12.5R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

2016 Yukon XL - 22in Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Thanks all. :happy107: Anyone have an opinion on what price point I could sell the OEM rims at in the Houston area? I was seeing some threads state 1200 for all 4, but that was a while ago.

2016 Yukon XL - 22in Nitto Ridge Grapplers

With inspiration from JennaBear and others (Thank You!), I finally got around to upgrading my GMC OEM rims from the factory (pictured first below and I’m selling - curious what a fair price would be), to some American Racing gloss black milled 22x9 +30 offset AR916 rims. Also went with some...

275/70/18 E Nitto Ridge Grapplers: Thoughts?

Also, does anyone know if a -25 offset would have an issue with a 2016 Yukon XL?

275/70/18 E Nitto Ridge Grapplers: Thoughts?

Good to hear on the ride quality. I think I’m about to pull the trigger on some 22-inch, 654bm Dropstars rims and the 33X12.50R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Did you get a 1.5 SuspensionMaxx leveling kit installed just on the front? Or on the back too to preserve the slight angled stock look?

275/70/18 E Nitto Ridge Grapplers: Thoughts?

Thanks Jenna! Did you use 1.5" in the front and back?

275/70/18 E Nitto Ridge Grapplers: Thoughts?

That’s the exact tire and look I’m going for. What brand of leveling kit did you use? Also, how is the ride?

    Annual oil changes

I have a 2016 Yukon XL SLT and have the Mobil 1 Annual Protection Full Synthetic oil in. It is good for one year or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. I also added some Severe Engine quiet that has done a great job of keeping the engine noise to a minimum. The oil is about $49 at Wal-Mart for...
