I’ve had xpel on the front end, mirrors and door edges for two years on a 20 Silverado. Paid $950. Still looks good and somehow really does self heal. There are less expensive products but shop that did mine said that xpel has the most precise patterns which makes a big difference with the...
Not apples for apples but, 2020 Trailboss 6.2 14.3 mpg average over 7,700 miles at 39 mph ave. Gets 17 mpg highway at 80, 19 mpg at 75 trying not to gun it. If you like HP/torque get the 6.2.
I’m 6’4 also and have this issue with my T1 Silverado more than any other vehicle I’ve driven. The telescoping wheel needs to come out farther. Not at all an issue with the 18 f250 work truck I daily. First world problems.
Nice bender. Used these extensively for refrigeration and controls tubing. I suggest starting with 1/4” soft copper before moving on to more expensive materials. This is becoming a lost art especially with the obsolescence of pneumatic controls.
Truck is looking good too!
The headlights are Depo with led bulbs and bumper lights are Anzo both from Amazon.
Not the best cutoff and a good amount of glare. I didn’t want to spend the $ for a full retrofit. I don’t do much highway driving at night so it has worked fine for me.
Sad to say but it’s time to sell the Tahoe. Vehicle #4 now barely getting driven. Super clean for an NBS, I have ocd with my cars. Used it as a kid hauler for a few years but mostly a weekend and road tripper, I always have a work truck. Everything works. Mobil 1 regularly since second oil...
Drove it with the new Blackbear tune. Power gains most noticeable in the higher rpm range. Shifts nice and firm and revs a little higher too. Low end throttle response same as before though. Here's a sound clip getting on the freeway:
It's mostly a weekend ride now so I'm not worried about getting ticketed. Definitely wouldn't be doing something illegal in it though lol. No tints when the wife was driving it.
I'm running 35% Wincos ceramic on the windshield and 20% on the sides and think it's perfect. No visibility issues at all. I pass by cops all the time and never pulled over.
I think they notice side tints more than the front. I got pulled over by highway patrol for speeding in my work truck...
Could be the expansion valve stuck closed or plugged with debris. It's near the rear coil. You'd have to take the charge out to disassemble and check it.
Not too bad. No visual inspection, just a smog check every 2 years. It depends on who you know. I had my muffler put in at a well known LS shop and they had 3 newer vehicles in there with blown LS3's and no cats...tempting.
