I forgot to make photos.
But the spot where the insulation was broken was right behind where the harness goes into the door - on the door side.
I had to pull the wire out a bit to see it.
@exp500: screwdriver?
Final update:
As this issue really pissed me off I just opened the complete harness from the latch to the plug in the dash.
There were 2 cables where the isolation was cut. not cut through - just a little cut in.
And when these touched each other all the problems appeared.
Put new wires in -...
Update:
I checked the plug and harness. no corrosion. everything looks fine. put some electric contact spray on. also on the other side of the harness where it is pluged left of the dash. still same problem.
Sometimes it works, sometimes not. New issue:
sometimes I close the door and it works...
...story goes on:
today (hot outside again) it started again!
But this time differently:
when I open the door and close it ONCE - it says "Driver door open".
When I open and close it for another time - it works.
and so on and so on.
It ALWAYS only works the second time....
What the heck...
UPDATE:
Today I changed the complete door lock actuator
(rockauto for 100$).
Now everything works fine again!
So -> SOLVED and THANK YOU.
Here is the youtube-link I used:
UPDATE:
now as its getting very hot outside the issue came back.
The display says "driver door open" when the door is closed and that causes all the other issues.
Sometimes in the evening when it cools down a bit AND if I close the door very softly the truck thinks the door is closed.
When I...
Hi there!
Today it started again.
So I first opened the door and sprayed some WD40 into the latch.
Then everything worked fine again.
I don´t know if that solved the problem permanently, but if so, it could have been a stuck wheel inside the latch. I think there is a gear wheel inside that...
Hello!
My 2010 GMC Yukon Denali has some issues with the driver door.
It started 2 weeks ago (when it became hot outside).
Sometimes the door wont lock (neither with the remote nor with the switches inside). When this happens all the switches in the door panel (windows, mirrors etc...) wont...
Where do you go over seas?
Ever thought about taking your car with you?
And maybe sell it overseas?
I am german and it was hard to find my 2011 Yukon her in germany.
And the prices are much higher than in the US....
@whitehoe: sorry...misunderstood your question.
If found out which one is bad with an OBDII-Device.
It clearly says the number. I just didnt know what side number 4 is first...
@Doubeleive: i dont think so. the sensor that was broken on my yukon made the whole system shut down. so as long as...
UPDATE:
found the rear speaker wires. but there werer separate tweeter and bass wires.
So I plugged in a denoiser-device right behind the headunit - and the noise was gone.
BUT: These days I figured out that there is still a buzzing noise when I switch on the heated seats.
And then I decided...
ok. the power button didnt make any difference. This should switch off the rear speaker, shouldnt it?
It might be, that the head unit doesnt support the rear enterteinment system.
But as I said: the noise only comes from the speakers that are still attached to the amp.
I definitely need to know...
no. that whine is gone when I connect the factory head unit.
And before I bypassed the front speakers I had that whine in the front, too.
I had the same issue with my 2005 Tahoe and aftermarket radios with BOSE AMP.
So I think prying the pins would not helpt, would it?
Hi there!
Does anyone know if the FlexFuel Engines (6.2L Yukon 2011) have special (harder) valves and valveseats that are more reliable for LPG usage?
Regards
Dennis
Well now, here is my workaround.
As it seemed that it was an issue with the serial data line from the yukon to the aftermarket radio I wont use the automatic rear camera activation. The truck always activates the camera and always sends a message to the head unit. But I could deactivate the...
..and hook up this wire with what?
There is no "reverse in" on my head unit as all this info comes from the can bus through the serial wire at the main harness.
UPDATE:
I checked the wires of the dash-sided camera harness.
the green/white has 12V as soon as I plug in the radio and keeps the 12V all over the gears.
When I jump that wire to another (except drain wire and ground of course) nothing happens.
Still the same thing:
The head unit switches to...
