Trans fluid vs. Transfer case fluid

Just to confirm, the ATF fluid needs to be Dexron 6 not Autotrak correct? The autotrak fluid is only for the transfer case with auto 4wd as I understand. I just wanted to make sure because my manual says to use Dexron 6 for both the ATF and transfer case. I've got an 08 Yukon with the 5.3...

    SLP Resonator Delete

Yes I still have the stock resonator, but when I had the Magnaflow muffler installed originally, I had the resonator left in place. It was too quiet for me so I went back and had them remove it. It's great except at high way speeds, there is quite a bit of drone. Just wondering if an aftermarket...

    Magnaflow 12589 + resonator delete?

Hey guys, I had the Magnaflow 12589 installed but left the resonator on at first. I drove it around for a while and honestly I couldn't even tell a difference until WOT where it seemed a little bit noticeable. So, I went back to the shop and had them remove the resonator.. Big difference...

    SLP Resonator Delete

Pardon the ignorance, but by SLP resonator delete, I assume you guys are talking about swapping out the stock resonator with an SLP aftermarket resonator? Would just like to be sure, because I recently installed the Magnaflow 12589 muffler and had the shop completely remove the stock...

Differential transmission and transfer case fluid change 08 Denali.

Thanks for the help. Looking for a rear diff gasket right now, and Autozone definitely has me scratching my head.. I've got the 08 Yukon SLT with 4x4 (auto, 4H, 4L, 2) Does anyone have any input as to which one I need? Haven't found much on the forum (pic attached). Thanks in advance...

Differential transmission and transfer case fluid change 08 Denali.

This may be a dumb question question, but isn't the "drain" plug you're referring to on the rear end actually the fill plug? I was kinda bummed when I looked at my Yukon earlier to find that there was no drain plug and that I'd have to pull the cover off to replace the oil.

How difficult are these Trex Grilles

Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my OEM Yukon SLT grille with a billet grille by Trex. I'm wondering how much difficulty ppl are having with these? I understand you have to cut out the guts of the stock grille and attach the Trex? Is this the same for the upper and lower grille? Any input on...

Running 285/55/20's on 2" level kit?

Dang, now im torn on which one to get. I agree with just a 2" up front and none on the back, while level, it looks like its sagging a bit. But having the nuisance of having to clear a light multiples times week doesn't sound appealing... Damn these auto rides, I wish GM would stop over...

Running 285/55/20's on 2" level kit?

Awesome man, appreciate it. Ok one more question, In your write up you mention having to occasionally deal with service suspension lights.. How often do these occur and how do you get rid of it? Just buy a code reader/clearer?

Running 285/55/20's on 2" level kit?

Thanks for the explanation and the pics, I definitely see what you mean. For the rough country lift, it looks really straight forward of an install on the front. Not so sure about the rear. How was the install of the rear blocks in your opinion?

Running 285/55/20's on 2" level kit?

Why wouldn't you recommend going more than 1.5 up front? My rear is exactly 2" higher.

Running 285/55/20's on 2" level kit?

Thanks. Yep I will be using the stock 20" Tahoe rim. I don't think there will be much of an issue. Always nice to have someone say for sure though from experience :)

Running 285/55/20's on 2" level kit?

Hey guys, I've got an 08 Yukon 4x4 with autoride. As it sits right now, the rear is exactly 2" higher than the front. I've done a bunch of research on the whole lift issue with autoride, and although I'm convinced it can be done without harm, I figure instead of going with the 2.5/1" level kit...
