    We've put 80,000 miles on ours since I freshened it up. Probably 15,000 miles since the newest cam, heads and converter. We've made 4 trips to Florida (1600 miles round trip) and Vegas twice. No issues at all. I did add a larger trans cooler just in case.

    Sounds great, when I did the cnc'd heads I pulled out a Texas speed cam and went with the Gwatney. Converter was also done with the heads. Tremendous difference. My wife still drives it every day. It's got great street manners but runs like a scalded dog.

    I kept the VVT and have a very lopey idle. We tried to tune as much of it out as we could because my wife keeps getting asked questions she doesnt know the answer to lol. Its a Gwatney performance stage 2 VVT cam. Ill post a video if i can find it.

    The Denali is finally mobile again. Oil pump failure on Christmas eve took it out. Completely fresh engine, melling high volume oil pump, rods, pistons, Rocker arms, lifters, cam, push rods, all new sensors and the list goes on! Lol I didn't take any chances I replaced everything!

    Finally got the engine back from the machine shop Friday. I'm too busy to put it back together so I took it to a buddy that was a gm mechanic for 11 years before he opened his own shop. Hopefully I will hear it run today!! Almost 10 weeks it's been down! I'll get some new video with the new cam...

    I just don't know if the gains would be worth the cost. If money was no object I'd probably have one lol it's a daily though so I'd rather spend that money on the bottom end or towards a supercharger

    I just took the short block to the machine shop yesterday. The number 2 cam bearing was toast. It hadn't spun yet but wasn't far from it. I hope the block is OK. I haven't decided yet which route I want to go. I love the benefits of the vvt but I'm worried about the oiling issue that caused this...

    I get to drive it from time to time. Honestly she wants it faster lol she wants it to keep up with my truck but I told her it wouldn't be very streetable if it made enough power to out run my truck. I'd really like to force some air into it but it's just not in the budget right now.

    Well at 225,000 miles the ol 6.2 lost a lifter or a cam lobe this morning. I'm going to pull it tomorrow since the kids are with their mom. Might as well freshen it up and put a cam in it. Any recommendations on cams? Small preferably since my fiance will still be dailying it. I might change the...
