I did pull that yesterday before disconnecting the battery and the service message was still on. It wasn't until I disconnected the battery today that the message finally went out.
OK, if this is the solution I'm going to hate myself. First, Westers has been great, replying to every email I sent. They are great to work with. Today I disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes. Reconnected it and so far no error message. I have started the rig 5 or 6 times and still...
Ok, had more time to work on this finally. The last step they had me do was jump two wires from the ride control computer at the back of the rig. I unplugged all three of the connectors and then jumped the two wires. NOPE, the dang message is STILL showing and now my check air bag is on...
Ok, after performing the antitheft relearn procedure TWICE, the Yukon is running on the new BCM. So there's an hour out of my day that I'll never get back. However the error message is STILL showing up so another email to Wester's. Still keeping fingers crossed1
It's after hours and I heard back from Wester's Garage with what will hopefully be good news. They say to perform the antitheft relearn procedure. I will do that tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I agree, it must be something simple. I will certainly ask them to cover it but I can hear the laughing from here. We'll see. I'm also reaching out to some mechanic friends of mine to see if they might know anyone. I'm sure it will take longer to pull the module than it will take to...
Well, I finally got my BCM back from Wester's in Canada. I swapped out the BCM with the original and for a split second I thought all would be well. Unfortunately with the replacement BCM installed when I cranked the engine over it kicked like it was going to start and then didn't. I put the...
I will certainly post how it goes. It will be at least a couple of weeks it not more as I have to wait for the replacement to arrive and then be shipped to Canada.
Found It! Mine doesn't have a compressor, just electronic shocks. The error light didn't come on right away but it on today. Once I found it I was able to get the exact part number I need and then found one on ebay. When this arrives I'll send it to westersgarage.com and have it reprogrammed...
Thank you,
I swapped out the shocks this weekend but the computer is giving me an error of course. It was expected. I need to pull the Body Control Module out to have it re-programmed. Does anyone know where to find it on the 2500HD? I looked under the center console but it wasn't there...
I have a 2001 Yukon 2500 XL with the 8.1 Liter motor. I am not the original owner and didn't know anything about the Autoride (Option Z55). Not knowing about the Autoride I order some replacement Bilstein shocks. When I went to have them installed that's when I learned about Autoride.
My...
Adam, it's been a while since you posted this but I find myself in a similar situation. I have a stock 2001 Yukon 2500 XL. Autoride shocks are worn so I ordered some 4600 Bilsteins to replace. By the looks of your post I need to swap the springs as well. Are there springs in the front as...
