Now at FIVE AC system failures in four weeks...

Piss poor design for condenser access. So glad for my GMT800.

Now at FIVE AC system failures in four weeks...

Several of us have either picked crud in the system or low refrigerant. Knowing pressures each time there was a problem, would have helped but getting info from shops can be like pulling teeth sometimes.

    White smoke issue

What connector hoses to where causes white smoke "out" of a tailpipe? That diagnosis explanation is lacking.

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I have not seen a locking gas cap in a long time.

    White smoke issue

Thanks for vehicle info. My recommendation still stands for a compression test on both sides. You can rent compression test tools at parts stores. Make sure all plugs are out when doing the test.

    White smoke issue

It would help to know exactly what you are driving and engine info. BUT, it sounds like a head gasket problem. A compression test, both sides, can help pin down.

The condenser is up front and to my knowledge, that does not require "entire front end removal". Maybe someone with info on newer rigs can chime in.

    New here. Need help.

I knew about the CASE relearn for the crank sensor but I thought that was not needed for the "plug and play" cam sensor?

X3 on the fuel pressure. When you change fuel filter, see how hard it is to blow thru it.

    Auto stop/ start not restarting

Welcome to the forum from Oregon. Based off of a recent incident with a 2017 Cherokee that I worked on, I know that the AGM battery in good shape is a MUST. Her husband had installed a non AGM main battery a while back and it caused start/stop problems as well as intermittent CEL and warning...

    96 tahoe ac not working

Pull the connector at the receiver drier/accumulator and use a paper clip or something to cross the wires of the connector and report back if the compressor does come on.

There are just some days I wish I didn't turn wrenches

Years ago, when I was in shops, Jasper did not sell to the open public. Had to buy from a shop because they would only ship to a shop. I sold enough engines one year that they took me and a couple other service managers in my area, and drove us from KC, Mo. area to Indianapolis for the 2nd...

2015 Yukon Denali - Cleaned throttle body today

Treat the throttle body with kid gloves and don't scrub it like a dirty frying pan in the kitchen sink, and it will be fine.

    Cargo Door Ajar

It is not a problem by any means but I had to ask. The worst is when people post a response or question and it is one long sentence that has several lines of uncapitalized words and no punctuation and very bad spelling and that makes it all very hard to figure out what is being said. The other...

There are just some days I wish I didn't turn wrenches

Had a 2008 4Runner here this morning for new pads, rotors, calipers for a front brake pulsation. Also drain and fill the rear diff for noise after the fluid was changed by dealer about 20k ago. Took front tires off and discovered d/s inner cv boot torn and slinging grease. I did the p/s axle and...

    Transmission Cooling Line Repair?

If you gotta use rubber hose on the metal lines, at least use band clamps and at least double or triple them at each connection. Also, make sure you use oil hose and not coolant hose.

There are just some days I wish I didn't turn wrenches

I got that cut within the first 5 minutes this morning. I grabbed a shop towel and just kept wiping the blood off and pressing down and within 15-20 minutes the bleeding stopped. I will be getting more nicks tomorrow morning. I have an 08 4Runner in my driveway right now that I will be doing...
