Thank you so much! I literally had to order with the dealer this week - cracked screen due to my own stupidity! The youtube video pulled me out so I didn't waste time. For those who are just doing a screen replacement, I only took off the back side plastic cover and removed the (4) 5/16" nuts...
I agree. I've got an 18 GMC Yukon Denali w/ power boards and I've learned to ask the dealer to "clean and grease" them every other oil change or so. Makes a world of difference, I think the motors start to fail more because of gunk and dried out hinges than the motor itself being subjected to...
I don't have an RST, but my Z71 didn't have the steps (they're dealer installed) and were on back order so here are some pics of my Z71 without. Hope that helps. It's a great look just too high of a jump in and out it seemed, otherwise I would have considered leaving them off to be honest.
Of course not, was just curious if they'd load. Not the end of the world, CarPlay and apple maps is just fine. More annoyed that not all features are just there and working!
No, if you can connect the vehicle to a wifi connection they'll load. Mine wouldn't load, connected the Tahoe to my home wifi and boom they loaded right up.
EDIT: Now if I could just get my phone hotspot to connect, I'll keep up to date!
I'm curious as to what this setup gives you- does the Google Maps work now, or is this just to provide wifi to your occupants rather than paying for Onstar Data?
I didn't log into one, but to be honest I didn't spend enough time getting into things, I'm sure in order to get apps and other items an account would be necessary.
I was wondering the same if there's been an update, and if there is, how we're supposed to find out? When our Tahoe gets towed in and they say "oh yes there's a bulletin for this here is a software update"...
Not at all, Took delivery of mine on 12/4 (dealer actually had it for a week or two on the lot, shocking!!) and the steps arrived to them around 1/7 or so.
Thanks so much, unfortunately where the brackets go into I can’t see. I may have to pay the dealer to install, which is too bad. We’ll see if they come through with install instructions!!
To those of you with a '21+ Z71, anyone interested in getting me decent pics of the under body mounting points for the assist steps? Dealer installed item that wasn't available when I picked up the truck, and being 5 hours from dealer didn't want to do another road trip so had them shipped to...
So, I was really feeling perplexed that I didn't get 36 mos of data. In my very short research, it appears that only the AT4 & Denali GMC models get 3 years of GMC Connected Services. If you go to the below page, and look under "interior" features 10 spaces down shows this. I can't find anything...
Would be nice if there was a way for Chevy/ GM to communicate these bulletins to customers, rather than waiting for us to have the issue and be stranded. It’s been on and off single digits around here this time of year and being stuck with a truck that won’t start and two kids under 5 we’ll all...
This exact issue happened on our 2022 Chevy Tahoe Z71 a few weeks back. Remote started, got in and hit the button, no start. Got all dash lights and seemed to have full power. I decided to jump start as a last resort and all was fine, started right up. Had a check engine light for a few days...
