    I know the gauges have been known to fail on these from time to time. Not sure if it could be that or a bad sending unit. I'd guess one of the two.

    E Brake Adjustment?

    If I remember right, mine didn't either. I believe there is a wheel somewhere near the rear calipers that you can turn to tighten the cable up. Mine were down to the metal when I replaced them. Replaced the shoes and tighten up the cable and it works like a champ now.

    You can do all of this, but in the end, it still doesn't fit quite like the original 03+ would, or at least I haven't seen one. All of the one's I've seen still look a little wonky and I think you lose use of the ashtray and cigarette lighter/12V plugs. I'd check out JK's sticky in the 00-06...

    Painting your Grille, how do they hold up?

    I went and bought a Z71 grill and just had it painted to match. I wanna say I was able to get it for under $100. I had mine professionally painted, but had him put a thicker clear coat on this and my SS bumper. So far the grill has held up pretty descent.
