I've got two Viper 5901's, one in my Tahoe and one in my Camaro. It's without a doubt on of the best things I've added to the truck since I bought it two years ago.
I'm going hook it up to the heated seats + defroster this weekend. :)
It isn't that hard to clean them by your self.
Remove the wheel, caliper and disc. Unscrew the senor and pull it out of the hub. Clean the surface that the sensor is mounted on and put everything back together.
Make sure that you don't get any debris in the hub while the sensor is removed...
I had the same problem with my truck about a year ago. I removed the sensor and cleaned the mounting surface. I haven't had a problem with it since then.
Try cleaning it before buying a new one...

I installed a 5901 in my -00 Tahoe a couple of months ago. This was my first alarm installation and it wasn't that hard, you just need to take your time.
I got the XK06 module for the remote start.
I removed the front drive shaft today and had a look at the u-joints, the one near the t-case is bad. Hopefully I can get them heated up and replaced by tomorrow...

I noticed this squeaking noise a couple of days ago when the truck was in 4wd hi mode. It usually appears when I make sharp turns but sometimes I can hear it when I'm going straight at very low speeds.
It seems to coming from the left front and it disappears when I put the truck...
