Fixed Update: I don't think my truck has a "module". I checked all fuses and they were good. I decided to go for the wiper motor and I pulled the pulse board off of the top. Here I found a broken electrical connection on the board. Unfortunately these boards are not sold apart from the...
Thanks for the reply. Do you know where the module is?
I turned the wipers on and there is no sound at all. If you turn the switch to high then the wipers come on but they immediately stop when you change the mode. The do not even reset and return to the bottom of the windshield.
My wife just called and told me the problem. Right now I don't know anything more (sounds and stuff like that). I also own a obs chevy truck and I had to replace the pulse board because of usual wiper problems with those trucks.
Does the 2000 and up trucks have the same problem?
We are wanting to get into a midsize sedan.....I'm up for a trade but I don't want to put much cash on my side. I am willing to trade down plus cash though.
Check it out and give me your thoughts, fellas.

Well, I tried to pull the TB off and it wouldn't pull off easily. I only found two nuts to pull off...it seems like there should have been a third under the left side. I couldn't find one and didn't feel like spending alot of time on it (only had 15 minutes).
I just used the deep creep...
I bought the seafoam in a spray can. The direction tell me to spray it into the TB. It also says to open the TB and spray through the TB. I'll remove it and make sure it is nice and clean....all the way through. I won't worry about the directions to spray it into a vacuum line.
Yeah, I'm going to have it checked tomorrow. I figured the TB will need cleaning regardless seeing as I have a little over 100k and it has never been done. I'm just wondering if seafoam through the tb is enough do I do it in the vacuum too?
Alright guys. I bought some seafoam tonight and plan on spraying through the TB tomorrow.
One question: Do you guys use it anywhere else? I saw that you should spray it through the vacuum if the vehicle is port injected. Is our trucks port injected?
Thanks for the input guys. I'll definitely get some seafoam and clean the TB and also clean the MAS.
I'm also interested in that fuel/idle switch. How much did that cost? Did you buy at a dealer or local parts store?
What does y'alls trucks voltage look like according to the stock...
I would start at wheel balancing. Mine had the same type of problem at around 45-55. If I was slowly gaining speed it would vibrate around this area. If I had my pedal down hard it would blow through that range without any problems. I had an alignment done and had the wheels balanced (time...
I was pulling into a parking space the other day and she died on me. I started it back up and parked and she died again.
Here is what I know: She runs fine until I come to a stop or when I start her up. Then she will start acting like she wants to die....the rpms will drop below 500 and...
I used a pair of vice grips to get that plug wire off. Be careful not to squeeze too tight. The main thing for me was to get an angle on it for some leverage. It sucked and that is why it was last on my list.
This truck has had 10-30 in it since before I bought it. The previous owner took it to a quick lube place for oil and they never use 5w-30. So I shouldn't see a dip but I didn't think it mattered much. Maybe I'll do 5w-30 next time.
I think my 01 yukon xl is burning oil. It seems like it needs about 1 quart every 5k (low oil light comes). It has 102k on it and I just changed the oil to 10w-30 Royal Purple. I'm tracking oil consumption and changing the oil every 5k-7.5k miles.
BTW, I have not noticed any blue smoke and...
This is an option but around here a local shop will rip you off. I would buy Crutchfield over anything. You get great customer service and you get vehicle specific instructions to install your stuff. You will save money using Crutchfield.
I'm still trying to picture this. Did it fall on you and someone had jack it up to get it off of you? My fear has always been that it would fall on me and I wouldn't be able to get it off. I'd just have to yell until someone heard me and get it off.
For your wife and kid's sake, glad you...
I'm interested in the door thing b/c my both my rear passenger doors make a clanking noise when I open and close them. Almost like something is sticking.
Found the problem. The a/c compressor is trying to lock up on us. I'm having it replaced and the leaking rear output seal/bearing on the tranny replaced. It is going to cost $1192. :emotions122::emotions122:
What am I checking for?

I was thinking about this. One thing I noticed is that one of the lines from the evaporator coil (I'm assuming this is the thing on the firewall) had some white stuff on it. I...
I would if I could reproduce the sound. The second sound (high rpms) will not show up on a video and the loud sound is unpredictable.
Come take a ride for a few hours and maybe you will recognize it.
I'm wondering if my compressor is freezing up a little bit. I really have nothing to...
Weird is right. I don't drive it much so I didn't have much to offer. Now I have more info.
I have narrowed it down to the air conditioner. This is not the normal "ticking time bomb" sound that comes on for some people. Today I started (hot start...after an hour trip) the yukon and put it...
