$1 each? *kicks self* I'm curious why your trip meter and odo are still white. Mine glow blue from the gauge lamps.

2 door tahoe/blazer/yukon if you got one show it off

Didn't see 'em on the street back in '97, either, which is why I bought mine :rocking: ---------- Post added at 07:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:32 PM ---------- Dig the color, Pro-Mo!

    Windshield Wiper

Yes, it is the pulse module. But before you buy one, you might want to pull yours out and look at the circuit board. There's a thread on FSC.com I believe where the guy says that the vast majority of bad pulse modules are due to a cold (bad) solder. He claims to have repaired several simply...

2 door tahoe/blazer/yukon if you got one show it off

The only hidden hitch I've ever seen on a 2-dr hoe required replacement of the tank with a smallish fuel cell. With the mileage we get, I can't imagine it's too practical for a DD to shrink the fuel capacity. But that one hoe I saw was also a pro-street custom with big tubs and meats and other...

2 door tahoe/blazer/yukon if you got one show it off

Looks great, Malibu! It sucks that we don't have a ready option for a hidden hitch on ours but all things considered it doesn't look too bad there. A nice round tube Curt receiver might clean it up a tad--I've been considering that for mine.

HELP: how do i remove dome light covers?

I just got on to the forum to ask how to get to the dome light bulbs... What I don't know is if you have to remove the entire domelight assembly from the headliner, or if you just remove the offwhite cover from the center section.

That's strange. I have no idea but something you might try is swapping one of your new light/twistlock combos with one of the OEMs you still have in there, and see if the problem switches places. At least you'd know whether something is screwy with the light/base combo or if perhaps something...

    Interior LED How to

Gang, How do you get the dome light assembly or lens out to replace the bulb?

Lotsa hotspots there. I've been reading some other threads on fullsizechevy and think I'm going to go with superbrightleds HP5 model. It's the high power surface mount type LEDs and has a forward facing LED as well as 4 radial ones to shine outwards. Pix with those show very uniform lighting.

Same as your dash, the "cool white"? Interesting that the doors actually look white while the gauges look blue. Hmm.

    Complete Lighting/LED List

Hmm. I think I may go with the SMD (surface mount) type LEDs instead of the WLEDs on mine and for my dad's '88. I was actually looking to do blue on mine but he just wants a brighter white for his. Not sure that cool white is what he's looking for. Maybe their "Natural White" would be...

Is it possible you got one LED in with reverse polarity? Which brand & model LEDs did you use for the dash and in the door panels?

Wondering about the 3157 back up lights. I'm not sure why GM used dual-filament bulbs in those lights. Do both filaments light up or just one? If just one, it seems the 3157 would not necessarily use all of the LEDs in a back up light application. I'm looking at the 25-LED replacements...

    Which High-4 kit?

I installed the Painless kit. My folks got it for me for xmas, and found it at a local shop for just a bit over $20--so the price ended up being about the same if not a little less than the cheap kit (after you add shipping on from Stylin). Works great, even with HID lows and halogen highs...

    Interior LED How to

Ahh, gotcha now. I'm just a lil slow sometimes :sleepy10: Yeah, I won't bother with it unless it's reasonably easy to get to. It's just one of those little nagging things that would be nice to fix while I'm there for the gauge lights, but isn't necessary. (Well, the gauge lights aren't...

    Interior LED How to

So that picture is comparing 1) no light on the left, to 2) blue in the middle, to 3) stock 194 bulbs on the right? Sorry, just having a dense moment (a long one) ;-) ---------- Post added at 06:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:09 PM ---------- Is there a separate bulb for the gear...

Which WLEDs do you have? The WLED-x is one LED. The WLED-x4 has 4 LEDs in the lamp; the x5 and x6 have 5 and 6 LEDs in each.

Interesting. In this thread, the guy recommended the single-LED version (in 120 degree beam angle): http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10270 I wonder if there's a material difference between the 6-LED ones like yours and the wide-angle single-LED? It's about $1.50 per...

Likewise! :Handshake: I'd heard about some bulbs being soldered in...wasn't sure if it was the gauge bulbs or others, or if it meant soldered to the twist-lock things. Glad to know I can just get the bulbs. Now I just need to figure out what my ol' man needs to do the gauges in his '88...

Thanks for the tips! I'd actually heard of the wet finger thing with bathroom caulking--never occurred to me to try it with RTV :)

    Water leak in rear

I may put some clear RTV silicone in that gap around the window mouldings. Just not sure how cleanly I can do it--I always seem to leave it all boogered up when I do it on my RV's windows... Wonder if the black weatherstrip stuff would be better? At least it would match better if I made a...

Thanks for the tips. Can you take that channel out with the glass still in the door? I assume you keep the window rolled up?

Wow, how did the bracket bend??? And how did you get in there with a punch--doesn't the nut go on the backside of that bracket?

    Water leak in rear

@wrecker, yeah, I know the one you're talking about. Mine is outside the glass. There is a small pucker in it in one spot, but it's not such that it could let water in. I'm pretty sure this is from the long seal that runs around the perimeter of the opening. It's kinda flattened from all the...
