Barn door removal on 1997 2 door

Had to replace the barn doors on mine after getting rear ended. Couldn’t bring myself to spend the money on that tool so I made my own out of half inch steel. The pins were rusted, almost like welded all the way through so the tool just spread out and eventually broke. After several hours of...

I rented one before and did the check per the diagnostic chart and all signs pointed toward the injectors

Well it's been a few weeks since I changed the spiders and now the long start issue is back. I'm guessing now it's the fuel pump check valve? Any suggestions?

Finally got a chance to put the new spider in today and all is well. Tahoe hasn't run this good in a long time. Now I just have to find out where to get the vacuum line that I broke in the process lol. Thanks for the input sunlit, you were great help.

i believe you were right sunlit. Did the pressure test again to be sure and it looks like an injector or injectors must be leaking. Soooo looks like I'll be tearing down the intake next chance I get. Anyone have a part # for the updated delco or Delphi spider assembly?

Just did pressure test, turned key and pressure came up to 62 then immediately dropped to 0. Pressure at 54 while idling, then immediately dropped to 0 when shut off. Sound like pressure regulator, injectors? So there something else I need to be checking?? Could fuel pump be a problem?

I did check the plugs, they were fouled with gas. I haven't pulled the cap yet, but the #1 plug wire on the distributor looked like it had rust in it?? Not sure how moisture could get in there. The spider has not been upgraded yet sure sounds like at this point it needs to be

I still haven't driven it anywhere but I have started it. Tb seems to be ok but still running bad. I was pulling a trailer at the time this started but surely not that heavy compared to some things I've towed with this truck.

Ok tb isn't stuck anymore. I cleaned it with a toothbrush and some tb cleaner and seems to be working fine now but looking down thru it the upper intake looks really dirty although I couldn't tell if any fuel was sitting down in there

Yes it was. It went away by the time I got home. the throttle body was pretty gunked up so not sure if that was what caused that but it hasn't done that since but I haven't driven it since.

Hey guys First time posting here. Got a 99 2 dr Tahoe 4x4. Been running fine until the other day when I came to a stop and it almost shut off. Then the gas pedal was really hard to push, like I had to stomp on it to get it to go. No codes came up but it's running really rough. Cleaned throttle...
